but its still better running it all the way because shifting as lower RPM will put you in a less power rev range when shifting???

Considering the GR is such a peaky engine the higher the RPM the better.

Very true, banging it up a gear needs to be done around that mark, as I have a big power surge around 4500k (Ralliart cams.)
