I am assuming where the this side of the muffler has to be accommodate 2 more output pipes. Is this correct? And would this mod affect the performance in a negative way.

As you can see my muffler is a single entry, twin pipe exit. I cant see why you couldn't take the exhaust pipe exiting the muffler closest to the rear of the car & swing a length of pipe round & out to the other side. Performance changes would be negligable - note how the piping leading in to my muffler is nice and smooth (aka mandrell bent) where-as the tail pipes are machine bent (got slight compression on the bends)?? thats because once the gas has passes through the muffler the job is done. You could stick whatever tail end on you like. Performace work has already been done. If you were to spilt the pipes further down the line - say after resonator, then you'd start seeing performance changes.

nice idea...not that I'm an expert but I thought the entire length has to be tuned/matched..as the gas still needs to be pushed out after the muffler..basicly the gas will flow thru the path of least resistance (the shorter length I assume as the pressure will be less) and the longer pipe will be somewhat useless but look nice. Maybe that was the idea :P

Guys, I have asked the panel shop the get rid off the aerial at the back, seal it, and paint it ower.

Is there any aerial that can be placed inside the car? something better then the current japanise one sticked to the back window.

Also, I will ask him to create a bonnet scoope just like the ones in the wiper. What do you guys think of this? is it possible first of all?

Same place quoted me $3,500 to respray my whole car, when the car was keyed in every panel.

Also explained that I have a spare bumper coming and need the whole car respray professionally (No Masking!) to a lighter silver colour.

He has quoted me $1,500 to respray everything and fixing up all the small dints and bits, on top of whatever he will get from insurance company.

I believe this is an excellent outcome on my side, as the damage will be fixed, car will fully respray and all the extra body kit will be installed (bumper, side skirts, and back).

So, he will talk with the insurance company today and give me a call this afternoon.

Hope that everything will go smoothly.
Is that place in preston on plenty road? Its on a corner think grey in colour?? Heading city way its on the right?

mxysxy - have to wait another week to get back my car coz they're waiting on SUSPENSION parts. sounds bad..... was your's purely cosmetic damage only?

i want my car back... can't stand driving my sister's pulsar any longer.

Yep,
Front right side panel was gone, also minor skirt damage,
Damage has been fixed, however, waiting for the kit to arrive.
These guys have been very good to me, I have seen their work, very high quality.
Also, they love to work with import cars.

max u can get a vent like that made on your standard one for sure. or u can wait for a cf one which im working on atm. will take some time but get a groupie up and running next year for sure :twisted:

I went to see the car today, and really impressed with the work has done,
All scratches has been filled, car has stripped of totaly to frame, panels sanded back, spoiler has been removed and gaps filled, boot key and aerial holes has been filled.

Looks great, they will prime it soon.

mxysxy - how's your car doing?

I got mine back on the 23rd with new panels, new front bar, new headlight, new foglight, new steering rack and new suspension arms etc.

drove it around and was impressed... body looked sweet and front bar was all nicely painted (no scratches at the bottom! woohoo).

1 week later (before new year's), gf borrowed the car and guess what... she drove up her driveway and hit the car on the passenger side corner on her brick postbox/fence.

what-the....

this car is cursed. panel damage looks almost the same. definitely not as bad as before though. car will be back in 2 weeks time. grrrr.... i've probably driven this car for 4 weeks in the last 5 months.

My god, I would be really pissed off to my gf if she does such a think,
and I wouldnt accept any sexual favours in return.

My car is still in the shop, sitting there in the corner, waiting for the bodykit to arrive.
Bloody kit is still in ship, due to arrive end of Jan
All the damage has been fixed, they have filled up all the previous scrathes and sanded back, due for priming end of next week I think.

My best assumption is to get the car back mid Feb.

I also decided not to go through with bonnet vents.
Thinking now that everytime it rains, I will be stressed out.
The temp under bonnet never been a problem anyways and I have a great proven CAI, plus the new front bumper should allow so much more air going in.

hahaha.... she felt heaps bad coz she knows how much i love my cars... she was full crying and waited a whole day before she told me (i was out the whole day).

oh well.... at least it's worth the wait. just don't lend your car to ANYBODY when it's all done. both times i've let somebody else drive it and both times it's been damaged.

I cant wait...
I saw the car all primed up and sealed yesterday.
Still waiting for the bodykit to clear of the customs.

I have a question though.
I will ask the shop to paint few interior panels with the same paint as well, while doing exterior.

Now, have a look the photo below and imagine every panel white is silver. Forget about the seat covers, roof, and the steering wheel.
Do you think it would be too much silver inside?
I will have black & grey seat covers with grey FTO logo on it.

Also, how do I remove the panels circuled in red?

They just snap out mate. The cup holder just needs a good pull, the gear surround (Im not 100% having a manual myself) but I have to pull the console surround out & unscrew it from underneath. For tips it may just pop out...

That tiptronic panel needs to be unscrewed from underneath, can't imagine it's too hard as you need to remove it to do the + - swap on the tip controls.

You next need to remove the gear stick. The button on top is fixed by two hooks. Push these hooks and remove the shift button.
I didn't understand this hook part. It is hard to imagine now, as I don't have the car in front of me.
Do I have to push the button first then I will see the hooks?

Also, to remove the cup holder in the middle; do I have to push it up from underneath or use a screwdriver to lever it up?
