Bare in mind though that they are swapping to the turbo'ed 6A13 and CSV said he wanted to keep it N/A. Personally if you want a 14 second pass, strip the hell out of the car. Get rid of your air con light weight rims things like that. Maybe it's just me but you seem to after the impossible here, maybe you should rethink what you are after

No, I didnt want to swap the engine I was just wondering what the hell you would switch to. No, Im not going to 're-think' my car. I want the FTO as I have stated before in this thread.

If I cant get a 14 second pass then thats OK with me. I was simply asking. And there is no way im striping my car out. Thats just stupid in my opinion. If I wanted to do that then I would have started out with a GP Version R. If I can run mid to late 14s then thats all I want. Im just asking what gear is going to get me a 14. Thanks for your help guys. But no I cant turbo my FTO with this new rule.

And just out of curiosity. Have any of you seen the turbo FTO on carpoint for 15k??? whats the go with that?? why is it soo cheap?? does it have like major problems?? Thanks :D

I'd still be going for light weight rims, they look good and they will help with losing some of your car's weight! Also maybe you should take it for a quater mile run before you do any mods to it, then you will know what you are starting with and how much time you should be able to take off it with certain mods, also if you are planning on making your car go faster you mite want to invest in some better stopping and handling

To get yr 1/4 mile time in the 14s. U should definately start off with a manual FTO. this will get u there a fair bit quicker than the Auto.
Air intake, extractors and exhaust are essential to acheive that pass and also, good tyres  :)

CSV for performance mods check out the Technical forum and the group buy forum - whilst the group buys may be finished the products are still available...

we ahve plenty of new products under development for the first half of the new year which will hopefully bring 1/4 mile times down even further into the 14's .... unfortunately i only do track work but one day i'll go down the 1/4 to see what times i can get...

Yea I would like to see what you would run down the 1/4. They r actually building a drag strip down near our local go cart track so as soon as its finished I will b takeing my car out for some runs. Yea my car is a manual, more fun in my mind. :D

Thanks for all your help guys. But one thing I need to know is if anybody knows anything about "cant get your P's till your 18 thing" does anyone know whether or not it is coming in?? Personally, I think that all these rules the RTA r considring r a waste of time.

my understanding is that it is going to become a trail in NSW / VIC ... other states are not being trialed... anyone who owns a "Hi-Po" car before the start date does not have to sell their car...

FTO's will not be included as a Hi-Po car ... power to weight ratio isn't there. and its not a turbo / V8

Yea, THANK GOD there is no power to weight ratios. That would suk. I will probably b getting some work done to my FTO during the holidays and I will let u know how it turns out.

You can buy genuine Mitsu Front Fogs for $750 + shipping from the UK.
Or you can buy some circular fog lights from super cheap auto for $99 which are blindingly bright, and fit the Version R front holes perfectly. You will just need to make a custom bracket which isnt that hard

Take your pick.

i saw them there on the weekend for only $78.
Just be sure to make your bracket secure, ummm otherwise when you take a corner or go over a bump, they might go rolling out and smash..

They've got them in all different sizes. I too have been thinking of getting the sticker, but then I realised I don't have any actual RalliArt equipment on the car!

mmmmm that looks so good. I was seriously considering getting my munted front bumper replaced by the stock facelift one, and looking at that pic, maybe I should have! I love the clear indicator lights.
