Well after test run around block tonight its not making boost :?: cant understand why atm no leaks anywhere and car runs fine just as it normally would in N/A trim but no boost at all (cant feel it, not registering on gauge and no sound from BOV) Have a feeling its to do with actuator but unsure any ideas....?

It's not the ride, it's the rider :troll:

In all seriousness though, turbos basically run on exhaust gases, so perhaps somehow monitor the flow of these gases and see if there is a point where it is escaping? I know you said you checked for leaks but perhaps even an exhaust gasket could be missing somewhere along the line?

Also, have you tried taking it for a solid run and immediately shutting the motor off to check to see if the turbo is still spooling down?

Using aftermarket wastegates?

No still factory turbo one, pretty sure actuator is issue no leaks anywhere, have a new one too so will play with that tomorrow, turbo is certainly spooling and vacuum but no boost. Which leads me to believe actuator not working

Sticky actuator.
Bov wound out too far so won't let the system hold boost.

Even with a vacuum leak, it would make boost, the whole pipe would have to be off for it to not make boost.

Exactly what I think, will test blow off valve tomorrow before changing actuator

Personal experience, even with the bov wound right out, I was still making some boost, and easy tell tale was the 'chatter' noise it would make in letting the boost out at a constant flow.

When my actuator stuck open, I had zero boost, none at all.
Was the original actuator and had simply seized with non use.

Shouldn't be too hard to fix.

Did you adjust the wastegate actuator arm correctly? Ie the 'half hole' tension set?

Yeah pretty sure it is seized and at Ben have it set bout half way as rod is adjustable will try to free up should be giving about 8 psi and full throttle and yes bov is set too soft but as you said should still make some boost

Also how did you free it up or just replace it

Until my replacement came I simply squirted some wd40 in to the vacuum hose inlet and shook it around.

there will be a bit of lube left in there, but will works it's way out, and when the vacuum starts hitting it, it frees up.

will go for round two tonight, If cant get on boost will swap out actuator hopefully prob solved. Cant complain though as this has been my only real problem so far

and boost has been made :D only bout 4psi though so far so assume have slight leak some where or BOV too soft on settings, problem was actuator sticking and vacuum wasnt on right port.

Only prob now is my clutch line is leaking from one of the connectors so will fix that then get it down to tuner when he can fit me in,

Could certainly feel it this time from bout 3k rev onwards it builds up but only went to 5k even with such low boost is amazing how much could feel her want to pull
