And as for my exhaust it was measure at 110 decibels lol
I looked under it and it looks stock with the middle muffler pipe taken out (idk what it's called) and a straight pipe welded straight through going into a a muffler in the end which splits 2 ways into 4 tips. Even at 4000rpm i'm getting 100+ decibels but at the proper 6000rpm it's going just over 110... how the f**k did the guy that sold me the car get a greenslip..

Any car can get a green slip, it's the pink slip that he could get done for. But even then they don't really check the db.

It looks like the previous owner removed the large resonator. The easiest way to make your car quieter would be to whack on 2 mid size resonators.

I had my mother in the passenger seat and was in an open carpark outside autobarn. Theire car was an undercover car and was in the middle of carpark so i went around it and into my park really quietly. Then turned car off got out and was just about to go into autobarn and they drove there car behind mine and asked for my licence. I was very polite and compliant....and they told me to drive to RTA they folled me the whole way and i got done over the pits.... And then he made me do sound check. What a prick..

i thought you couldnt be booked in a carpark because its not a public road? or is this different because it wasnt something about your driving

A carpark is not privet property so they car get you in there.

It wasn't about my driving. It was a random police operation and they wern't targeting me says the police officer.
I just had to go get my car checked at the RTA over the pits as were many other cars.

i know it may not help but theres a mechanic where i live in bendigo vic that has passed my car with several things unroadworthy: no horn, blue side indicators, over the sound limit exhaust, gauges on bonnet(were painted black and not too high so were pretty much legal), noisy and potentially f**ked turbo, an engine managment system and an airbox from a 3.8 litre commawhore that just sat there(had to remove the pod for defect.) obviously not my fto and this guy was like a 60 year old german guy.

just goes to show that theres mechanics out there that dont mind losing their liscence every now and then(and yes he has lost his mechanics lisence a few times.)

i give my mechanics a little extra money sometimes as an 'incentive'....... helps me with any of my problems not that i need a mechanic to do anything other than roadworthy's

yeah, i want to get the oil leak fixed and stuff so i don't run into problems later on.
No wonder the guy was selling it....it's ok ill get it sorted. Just full plate atm. Lot's of problems but i have a good job and mates to back me.

no worries thanks mate.
I left it with the raaf mechanic and its gonna cost me a grand or more to fix up. But hopefully be fine after that.
And ill be able to drive around with out worryign about defects. Got a new massive calcum battery and it's secured i fly back down to syd next w/e to pick my car up then drive it back next sunday.
