A few things;
Shouldn't use the aerosol degreasers you can get @ supercheap for $2 .. theres a reason it's so cheap
Shouldn't use high pressure hoses in the engine bay, especially after spraying the cheap degreaser .. the degreasers can wear away the protective sealant in the electrical plugs & then the high pressure water gets all up in there & starts making funny stuff happen
Dual wielding is aweasome.

1.) Get some liquid degreaser, the kind that is like a detergent - truckies use this stuff to clean their rigs.. it's less harmful to the electrical sealants etc..
2.) Get a heap of rags soaked in degreaser & dual wield
3.) Go ape S**t
4.) Wipe off degreaser with clean, damp rags, or if you have to , use a normal garden hose .. cover the air filter etc with plastic bags first though & tape it up.. if you don't have it boxed..
5.) A bit more hard work, & elbow grease .. but good result..
don't worry mr charisma, its only a ford focus i did it on :P

yeah, it might be good enough for a ford focus, but I wouldn't be telling anyone to do it on an FTO ..

ENGINE BAY OVERHAUL - PHASE I

Been feeling like I need to make my mark on this car .. still feels like it's "Jeff's".. so I've taken my first steps to making it feel like "my own" ..

Ignore how dirty the engine bay is right now .. give me a couple of weeks & it shall have "the stink of cleannn" :P

Polished Intake manifold / TB & Painted Bolts in Anodized Metallic Red .. (The bolts for obvious reasons, need a bit of a touch up after being fitted :P)

Started work on Polishing the Turbo housing as well..

and.. my babies parked undercover together :P

DIY Guide for Polishing Intake Manifold / other parts to follow ..
This one took me the best part of a week to do, including non stop hard yakka during every waking hour of the last long weekend.. & it could be a lot better .. (will have to re-do it next time I take the manifold off..)

PHASE II - Coming soon...

Each time I look at this pic, I expect to see a "My Pink Pony" or something hidden in the picture.

It's not my taste, but I respect the effort. Otherwise I love it. Would love to see it in action.

Yeah, move to Blacktown, leave your bonnet open, and someone might key the engine bay for you.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm god that looks hot
even the blue is almost a perfect match to the rest of the bay.

I have to say after seeing that I now have to get some more work done on my bay and get some more manafolds done for other members :D
