dont tell me you have actually had to work and not been spending days playing with the car and posting on forums
Yeah i been doin like 11hr days too so i dont even get a chance in the arvo to do anything

Its your starter for sure. Have you tried giving it a few taps with a hammer before starting it???

Obviously because your car has not been started in a while your batt will be almost dead, so even if it was a relay or fuse, your car would not start anyway!!!

What you can do it open up the solinoide and file down the rough bits and clean it right up might give you a few more starts before it packs in.

Ive been driving my car everyday, i have been bridging a wire from the constant power to the switch pin on the solenoid. Thats what makes me believe that its not a starter issue, i could be wrong

Simon, you still need a starter to test? I'm on holidays now and am free during the week only, but can possibly help you. Of course in return for favours :root: LOL

Yeah i do mate but i work till 3 during the week...... and thats if i finsh on time, But if we can arrange a time, ill give you those mats for free if you let me borrow your starter to test :D

Yeah mate. 3pm's not too bad but yeh I mean if you could give me a definite time you'd be at your's on a weekday then I can drive up. This monday, tues and frid are a no go though but the week after looks good. Oh yeh and you do know how to put the starter motor back in with no probs right?? :lol:

haha, yeah mate i dont know if ill even pull it out. Ill just get the voltmeter onto it and see whats going on when starting etc and then compare to my car as i really think its the inhibitor switch on the tip.

haha yeah ive done troubleshooting than you can poke a stick at but to no avail....... Work has been having me do 10+ hrs so ive had no time do anything on the car hopefully next week i may be able to take to an autoelec

Haha thats funny you just mentioned that today i just took it down to the auto electrician today. My alarm immobiliser had sh*t itself and was stopping the igintion switch. SImple fix but at some stage now i gotta get a new alarm
