Anyone wanna offer a dartboard as to why there'd be no power to dash lights after having box out?

Re: BJK's FTO #2: The GPX-R
Got it back just in time to have it ready for All Japan Day.
Come back with all engine mounts replaced with Mad Polly polyurethane inserts, poly steering rack bushes, Exedy heavy duty clutch and the full Cobra Transmission reco kit through the box. Car feels good and tight, barely any body roll now lol, though the feel and noises of the HD clutch will take some getting used to. Engine/exhaust note also sounds different to before, might just be my imagination...

Obligatory post-wheel-alignment hills run.
And a short, boring video as a bonus.

Yep, sharp. Exhaust would sound louder with poly mounts, less vibration absorbed.

Ahhh. I guess if I had a basic understanding of physics then that would have made a lot more sense.Bennoz wrote:Yep, sharp. Exhaust would sound louder with poly mounts, less vibration absorbed.

So the shop wasn't able to convince insurance to get Dstocks bar, but on the plus side, they did knock back them trying to use a tired second hand one, so I'll have a brand new one ex-Japan on the boat. 8 weeks wait, but what can ya do!

Apparently not! Go figure. I mean, not as if they're really paying for it anyway though, dunno why they're trying to cheap out this time.Vectose wrote:lawl, surely dstocks one would've been cheaper

I call BS, I almost think dstocks was so cheap that they decided to go with Japan just to get more money from insurance.

Nah nah, these guys are pretty good. Literally have done all the repair jobs on both my FTOs to date. And everyone I speak to is like "Fuckn insurance"mezje wrote:I call BS, I almost think dstocks was so cheap that they decided to go with Japan just to get more money from insurance.

Re: BJK's FTO #2: The GPX-R
Shoved the fogs in that I got from Jesse Streeter (Good guy to deal with if you want sh*t from Japan. His commission is very reasonable). Right side was a piece of piss, and then I got to the left and spent ages f**king around with the plastic air funnel (mostly lining up the bolt hole to get it back on, should probably just replace it with some flexi-hose when I can be bothered).
Nice change.
