1 x 10inch fan and 1 x 12 inch fan
Now I flogged the car for a good 6 hours today & only once did it look like getting warm & that was when I was moving very slowly in 30 degrees with mega humidity. As such I think Im going to replace the other fan with another 12" of the same make.
You can buy them from here:

Might take that option with the Magna.
Hasn't heated up yet as I've done no Summer drives, but 1 10" I don't believe to be suffice for long.
Nice work by the way.

Oh i thought you had to make it a blow through setup, due to space restrictions.

That was originally the plan, but there just wasn't enough space between the condenser & radiator for even the thinnest of fans available. So it s a suck through now.
good stuff!

hey Bennoz, are you using the VR4 radiator or just the FTO one?

This really surprises me. The air flow from a legnum cant be much more than a fto and the engine bay cant be that much bigger.
Have you flow tested the water system?
Also have you done the washer trick with your bonnet?
Are you using anti-boil coolant?
When you say she is getting hot, is water coming out of the overflow. Can you hear gurggling when you switch the car off? Are you needing to replenish the coolant?
I would be doing a compression and leak down test if you answer yes to the above 3 questions.

Nup, nup, nup. Its got a brand new water pump, flushed galleries, its not loosing any water, its not bubbling over & its got plenty of coolant in there.
It doesn't 'overheat' in the traditional sense, it just runs too hot after a while. Temp gauge starts & sits at about a 1/3rd, then depending on how hot the day is, it make take an hour, it may take 4 hours, the gauge rises up to a bit over half & hovers around there until you get off the boost & coast for a while. Then it will drop back down.
It needs more air to be pulled through the radiator. Dwaynes front bar will help too.

You could even look into getting the fans put onto a switch so you can turn them on and off when you want. You could even have them run after you turn the car off to help cool the bay.

Its all controlled by the Haltech & yes you can set them to turn on & off whenever you like, including at specific temperatures.

But if it's on a switch you could run it any time you need it rather than resetting the ecu.
Like the old school V8's used

lol true, but I've got enough switches & dials in my cabin to worry about these days

Hey ben does yours get hot from just sitting in traffic or does it still get hot even when driving around with not much traffic with out the car stopping and strarting.
when mine gets hot you have to pull over and leave the car off with the thermo fans on to cool it down lol. Or go for a long drive with no traffic.
yeah ben going to order 2 of them fans and then maybe even intercooler sprayers to.
I think you might have to give in ben and get the evo or Ab style bonnet mate or even rip the guts out of the thermostat lol.
i had a idea of even putting a fan near the back of the engine bay down the bottom sucking all the hot air out but i dont think that would work.

Many euro cars have this feature, the fans stay running after you switch off the car until it gets it to a low enough temperature.
I like the idea of bigger fans, vented bonnet and the new front bar

At idle the fans have just enough grunt to hold the temp wherever it may be (if its hot)
Just cruising doesn't bother it, its stop, start, on & off the boost that upsets her..... and that's only on a 30+ degree day. On a cold day, its just not an issue at all, it'll stick right on the money where the gauge is meant to be.
When Im on the freeway doing 100, the force of air coming through will always bring the temp back dow to where it should be.
The other thing Im investigating, is getting a thicker core installed into the radiator. With the right tools, they can remove the top & bottom tanks from the coar & install a thicker unit.
Im trying to avoid having to lash out 800 bucks on an aluminuim PWR unit. I think thats overkill. Just need to find the right balance.
Plus I was informed the other day, even with a you-beaut, 12" 1400cfm fan, you will get nowhere near the 2-3000 cfm pull of a factory fan!

If only they'd f&*en fit!

Redline was having overheating problems when he first turbo his so he brought the alloy PWR unit and said it was the biggest waste of money....... just thought i let you know.
