Hi guys,

Me and a couple of friends are driving to Adelaide on the 11th of January for a holiday. We will be coming up for 7 days. Can any of you guys/girls suggest any places to go while we are up there? Ive been told the casino and the beach. But there has to be more than that over there.

It would be good to meet up with some FTO owners while im over there too.

If you like wine you can go through the winery regions - like the Barossa and Clare Valley. Beaches are nice - but the water is cold. VIcotr harbour or Kangaroo island i think are meant to be nice. a lot of windy roads in the Adelaide hills, good for a drive.

:D There's always Hahndorf - a little German style Village in the Adelaide Hills - very touristy these days - but good for a look. Glenelg is popular. The main strip in Norwood - some great Italian restaurants there (Manto's and Buongiorno's used to be very good - haven't been home in a while). Coney Island (ice-cream bar) down Semaphore - good fish and chips around there as well. If you go through the barossa - a couple of places worth a look are Chateau Yaldara (winery) they have a nice bistro to have lunch. There's the whispering wall - you stand one side of the dam and whisper and they can hear you on the other side. Gumeracha for the big rocking horse. That's about all I can think of for the moment.
Cheers

I've been told that The Church is one of the best clubs in town... While you're there you can also give Angela a shout-out (EXC) if you wanna have a party - she's a party animal LOL... JK

Sad thing is, although "The Church" may be the best club in town.... there arent any real good ones around - so not too hard to be the best.

I think Teania has summed it all up pretty well. A few places to go if you look around i guess.[/quote]

Aw.... that sucks!!!

Why did you deregister it? How often did you drive it - i dont recall ever seeing it on the road between TTP and the city.

Welcome Deb, nice choice in car

There are not too many people that frequently visit this site, however should be more than enough to hit the hills for a drive.

As I've mentioned in a few other threads, I'm new to SA and have a black '95 FTO GPX with a Veilside kit. Looking forward to a cruise or something sometime soon! Haven't had a chance to drive through the hills yet, but I hope to do so soon!!

Anyone wanna chat about cars or whatever, send me a message through ICQ or MSN!

One more FTO heading your way very soon!

We are moving down on the 22nd January. Unfortunately, I will most likely have to come back to Newcastle for a short time while my transfer is sorted and finalised. The car will be there without me! How will I survive?

Will be living in Norwood, so keep your eyes out for a Silver FTO with a dark stripe, 17" rims and exhaust mod.

Have to catch up for a cruise once I actually get there for good. Mmmmmm.......Adelaide Hills in an FTO. You've heard of Kingswood Country - that should be FTO country.

Catch you guys and gals soon!
