Are they able to do the seats in suede?
I'm looking at trimming my seats next week. $1260 for front and back in suede.

If you browse the forum from beginning you'll have all your answers mate!
Or just to cut a long story short, yes for the zip.
No for the suede.

That looks fantastic.
Just one question though... I know we probably haven't had the right weather yet, but any idea how these would go in summer? I assume being leatherette rather than leather that they would get pretty hot if your car was parked in the sun.

ummm.... I don't think your friends have had REAL leather seats then
Leather being a natural product has pores and "breathes" limiting how hot it gets (it generally stays quite cool), whereas synthetic materials don't breath and therefore get much hotter.
Anyone remember the days of Holden Kingswoods with vinyl seats that you just about had to peel yourself out of on hot summer days, and how it was so hot that it nearly sent you through the roof if you forgot to put a towel down first.

Looks great, looks like a real leather to me.
It will be great if I can get the same material to do my doors as well.
So, Adriano
How is it feel like this leatherette material?
Is it soft, thick, plastic feeling?
Posted: Wed Sep 15, 2004 3:36 pm
by Adriano
it's soft... it has an extra foam backing so it is like the original trim...
it doesn't feel plasticy, nor is it brittle....
just a note though that it requires some stitching when putting it on.... you can avoid this but will not look as good once it's on....

Gee those seats look lush. I guess we could choose the colour of the stitching? Could then match it with you car (or whatever you want really).

$150 includes materials and labour...
postage is additional... and tax...
