You can run the stock MIVEC ECU but need a piggyback unit like an E-manage at the least. You also need custom pistons made for higher compression and clearence. And maybe a cam belt, not sure.
Also, with the MIVEC head on a 2.5, MIVEC would kick in much earlier (say around 4000 rpm as the first lobes would start losing power because of the higher capacity after this point) and peak power would probably only be at 6500 rpm or so rather than 7500.
But with really good cams, and considering the 2.5 block wouldn't tear itself apart (or cause too much wear & tear) you could still have MIVEC kick in at 5500 and go to 8000...

There is a electricly controlled valve in the rocker setup that opens at a set rpm (6000 rpm ) this directs oil pressure to a differant part of the rocker setup so that a differant part of the rocker setup comes in contact with the differant cam lobe and this cam then takes over operation of the valves. Sorry if it dosent sound right or is hard to understand but it is Hard to explain with out using the parts to show you.
talking about the exhaust cams... there wouldn't be room in the GR motor for them would there???
