Not great quality but ok for a prototype (was from a medium quality 3D printer).
I need to re-work the model on the right hand side as the oval isn't quite large enough but the left is ok.

Pretty nifty stuff! Privileged to have someone as innovative as yourself among our ranks.

Excuse my ignorance, what is the space with the cog on the left side there?

Thanks and no worries mate.
This particular Eaton M45 supercharger is from a mini cooper s and on those it has a water pump driven off that cog, when this charger is used on projects like this the water pump is removed and the space is blanked off so no-one gets there fingers mashed poking around. Blanking plate will be easy to do.

Ah, I see. And so the stock FTO throttle body attaches to the end of that adapter? How different will the position of it be in the engine bay?

That would be great but it would change the position of the TB. Going to try to get it in the same position so theres no need to extend the throttle cable and idle stepper connector. Solution is to have an alloy pipe in between with a flange on each end. Trying to balance form, function and cost. Having the whole thing as one piece out of cnc'd ally would be the best and look the dogs but the cost is crazy. I'm still playing with ideas for this bit, Tarkus has been helping out too.

Guess there's a lot more to consider than whether the TB just fits on the end! What sort of price difference is it looking to be between the one-piece design and the one with the pipe? I suppose at the end of the day, shiny things are cool but it's a functional modification that you won't see 99% of the time.

Cost difference getting it CNC'd in ally as one whole piece would be into the thousands and absolutely not worth it of course but would look great.
If we needed a lot the cost per item would come right down but this is only ever going to be very small volume.
Looking at other materials and processes at the moment, some interesting options out there, might still be able to get it done in one piece.

This is ridiculously interesting... I'd kill to play with a supercharger on the FTO 8O

Sorry for the lack of updates, been busy moving from VIC back to WA into temporary rented accom so all my stuffs been in storage, now in a perm place and got my stuff back.

Supercharger inlet is almost finished, Tarkus has been helping loads on this with the design and i'm hoping that we're now on the final version.
Need to get the charge cooler / intake plenum sorted next and will be onto that soon.

Just waiting for another test piece of the oval part of the supercharger inlet arriving as we've been tweaking that to fit right and i'm hoping we're on the last iteration now, then will be getting this made on a commercial machine.

It puts the throttle body in the same position that it's in from factory give or take a few mm, meaning you can keep the factory airbox if you wish or replace that if you don't like the airbox. Should also mean the throttle cable won't need moving much either.

Are you hoping the supercharger whine will hide the other noise?
