I have one of these. It's a tight squeeze - would be more comfortable with the battery relocated to the back. That being said, it does fit. I got the "limited time" Ram Kit II as well; I didn't attach it on with the velocity stack, but I did direct the pipe towards the pod from where the foglights would normally be on the front bar.

Did it make any great noticeable differences?

Other than sound, nothing you can really measure by without a dyno.
