Naah, engine was hot. And it's usually when am driving around at a constant high rpm but not giving it enough throttle. Say stay on 3rd gear, at around 4k rpm...and do 90 for some time...then let go of the throttle You should get the exhaust pop. It's the fuel burning on the exhaust manifold or header and is normal. And damn I love that sound I have the same sound on my motorbike. The problem here is I think there is a leak somewhere along the exhaust system hence the pop is coming off the middle of the car instead of the back of the exhaust like it should.

Not sure what causes the fizzzsshhh sound when I let go of the accelerator though...seems like air sucking in.

The fizz is the section of flex pipe cavitating. You can shut it up by heat wrapping it.

Does the fizz do any damage? 'Coz I seem to like the sound :p

Also if there is a leak at the cat and flex pipe joint, can i leave it for a month or so till i get the high flow cat installed? Or will it cause damage if I drive the car now?

If its after the O2 sensor then i dont think it will do any damage... just more of a loud annoyance to the public lol
I could be wrong though i didn't have a look at wikipedia

Yes i remember - the Y pipe supplied did not have any mounting points for the rubbers so we zip tied them up to try and compensate
Long term solution is get a couple of mounts welded on to fit through the rubbers (simple job - shouldnt be too much) and while theyre there they can fix up that bolt if thats the noise you keep hearing

Probs wanna get it sorted for you start getting leaks around flanges from excessive vibration/movement.

I had a fucked mount towards the back not being mounted properly i kept blowing flanges and i went through two flex pipes.
