Oh my god I think my car also had it's eyes cut out and replaced with dodgy ones, i've just checked and it looks like a hid headlight but took the cover off and there's a silly plate thing holding a thin bulb in.
And the lights come on instantly, no delay like hids.

So after reading all this thread and getting thoroughly confused, what bulb do I need as my passenger dipped beam is out (and it's a pain to get to - looks like I need to remove the airbox)?

ditch that H1, it is the wrong bulb thus giving you the wrong beam.

buy an HID kit as mentioned in this thread and it fit perfectly. Not sure if you need to remove the airbox thou.

just checked mine i have after market hids and the globes are the same ones as factory win :cheers:

What's this about ( Car with 9007, H4 or H13 will only have one beam ) from the ebay ad?

I think I will take my headlamp unit out and check what's going on with it first, would like to return it to stock if possible.
If I can't figure it out I will just buy a kit and be done with it.
