What because it hasn't got a turbo? The car will have close to the same amount of killowatts than a GPX. I'd prefer it if there were no sarcasm idiots.

I understand where you're coming from dude but with a comment like that you'll not get along well here. They were only making a joke.
Better to ask
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/home.html rather than us about that mate, but before you do anything, check the Insurance costs of what you want.
Also an R33 GTS-T vs a well kept GPX is a very close race. But lets not get into that here. Ask us about FTO questions mate, other cars have other forums.

Yeah mate, i totally agree with oodles. You come a fto forum and ask about skylines. If we thought skylines were cool then we would be driving and members of skyline au.
Now in relation to tippin's comment, it actuaaly wasnt to far from the truth. I know all my mates with skylines would be calling youu homo for havin a non turbo one. and a lot of other popel would be saying the same thing for buying a skyline.
MOral of the story buy what you want not what other ppl think is cool. Take as many cars for a drive as possible and you will soon see what you want.

from what has happened to me... (if this is your first car buy) purchase something you like but you wont be devastated if you write it off. that way when you get paid out you have money that you wouldve saved afer purchasing the car and the payout from the insurance company to buy something nicer.

I like the prelude 5th gen's, how would they match up against a FTO GPX?

the best thing to do is go and test drive the two cars for your self that way you can make up your own mind, we can all tell you get this one get that one but its you that will be driving it not us.

the h22a (5g engine) has similar figures to the 6A12, i think it is very slightly a bit stronger. but the engine on the 5g is also mounted so that it is horizontally flat, which means it makes the car heavier.
my opinion is that you don't purchase the car because it is faster and has more HP etc. please dont make this the reason to buy the 5g... because the FTO is a much nicer looking car than the 5g, and plus the 5g is much more costly well of course this is a biased opinion, its an FTO forum of course!

My workmate has a R33 GTST and he drives me to work most days. His car will completely demolish any GPX stock vs stock. Everytime I come back from a drive in his car, I have a strong urge to get a faster car.

The comparison should've been a decently tuned/modded GPX may beat an r33 gts-t stocker and if only the driver in the skyline didn't launch it full on. From a roll though, the GPX will still have not much of a chance...turbo roll on acceleration eats most naturally aspirated cars.
If you think your stock gpx can keep up with a stock gts-t...well then you've got banana for brains.
That said, a stock gts-t by current standards ain't exactly fast either, though not hanging around. It's in how easy to make them fast and the aftermarket support where they excel. 200rwkw's from one only costs 6k if you do budget shopping..
So what's the choice atm LiamV ?

Yep, true that.. Spending a gran on forced induction will pull 3 to 4 times the power gain as you would if you spent that gran on a FTO

just for the record im a member of preludeaustralia.com
and the 5th gen is slower(in a straight line) than the 4th gen both vtir models
hower they stifened the chasis in the 5th gen, which made it heavyer but it will out handle a 4th
as for being faster than an fto/.... no
i go the the prelude cruises every now and then (used to own one) and the track day we had, on the straights iwas pulling on them, and breaking corners, gained easy.
apart from 1 , but thats turbo so didnt count
