Nup, still looks like a box with 4 wheels on it. Dont get me wrong, I quite like the shape of the new lancer, but it still looks like a medium size family car and not a sports car. Dunno why they didnt go for something like the shape of the FTO with the power of the EVO. I guess the Eclipse fills that space.

I'll have to agree, EVOs don't really look like a sports car much. They look nice, but look too much like any other normal car.
Still a very nice car though if you don't mind the non-sporty look and going for pure performance.

what do you need a turbo for now anyway? easy target for the piglets, you might get the 'bov'ing ego thing happening (i personally hate c**ts that do it), higher fuel consumption and nowhere to dump the power to the ground. raw performance is nearly totally pointless now, with all the media hype surrounding hoons...
keeeeeep iiiiit.... (that was your concience, not me)

You guys are soooooo picky ...
But yeah, I guess a box with balls ... I think they still look sporty ... OK so maybe the Evo 3 shape is not the best example .... But hey, it is from 1995 ...
The X is a pretty fine looking car IMO .... And there is also that little part of me that looks sporty sedans .... The practicality of the extra doors are worth it ....

Decided to keep it now anyhow
I was originally looking to buy a 350z but dropped the idea since my budget was only 40k and for 40k I'd only get one with higher kms on it.
I actually looked around on a few other car clubs out of curiosity, really amazes me how these forums lack those narrow minded hoons (for the most part) that seem to be just about everywhere else. Don't think I'd find another community like this with more mature minded / easy going people with nothing to prove (for the most part!) and who respect rather than degrade other cars / owners.
Skyline <-- Perfect example

I think they still look sporty
Didnt say it doesnt look sporty , it does. Just doesnt looks like a sports car - its different. It just doesnt have the lines that a sportscar should have. But then, its an opinion and maybe im being a little critical

My roomate has an evo 6
At first, yuck to fat and old school but it grows on you
He has the car parked outside my window everyday and when I'm on my comp and look up it's not "ugly" at all.
In fact seeing this fat ball zigzag all over the place is pretty hilarious... in a good way
As for prices on the evo 8... if you don't mind importing you can get one for less than 30k, i've seen a couple evo 8 MR going from 32-35k and that was 3 months ago

the only thing (looks wise) that I like about the evo's is the interior.. (FTO is still better though

)

FTOs have one of the best interiors I've seen, I sit in my friend's skyl*any on the way to work and it seems so plain on the inside. When my friend sat inside my car he said it kinda feels like you're sitting in a cockpit (not literally a cock-pit, get your mind outta the gutter)

Those kinda people have a certain image in there head and are narrow minded for the typical cars that have "street rep" - Basically the skyl*nes, evo's, wrxs etc are the only things that are worth doing up, and anything anybody else bothers with is a waste of time.. always people like that around.
