stayin in the same spot for 2 nights sucks. If we do it the other way its the best of both worlds (comprimising), we get to meet with sydney people and get to see Byron and no huge drive home. anyway let the people decide remember the word comprimise

Simon's Idea seems a good'un ...
Hadn't thought of having to drive 8 hours¿ back after a few days of partying.. bugger that for a joke..
soo ... Simon says put your hands on your head ... Simon says put your name on the list if you like this plan;
Day 1 - Friday) Drive to either Coffs or Port Macquarie, get camp site. Stay in Cabins @ caravan park or summat (*so we don't get hurt by the mozzies... Noone likes to see Yang cry
hehe j/k)
Meet up with any sydney ppl. do the 3 p's. sleep a little.
Day 2 - Saturday) Drive back up to Byron get camp site play during the day (fishing, beach games, jetskiing?, surfing? etc) Go to local backpacker bar at nite for more festivities.
Day 3 - Sunday ) Then the next day just relax till afternoon and then a cruisey 1 or 2 hr drive home depending on where you live.

i'm keen on simon's idea as well
my original idea was so we get to spend a day with the nsw ppl, reckon it would look pretty cool to have ftos from both states together lol.
so i guess to comprimise on that side... we can leave relatively early on firday, and get there early arvo, and leave a bit later than we are supposed to on saturday, and skip the "play" (as michael put it) or at least most of the "play", but do the back packers.... bar... yeah thats it. lol
and do the beach stuff on sunday before we leave, since we can virtually leave as late as we want, since it is such a short drive.
so simon's idea.

yeah it also good, because the ppl that cant make the whole cruise can at least can make half it. so all we need to really sort out is the dates. dont know who's idea but i think it would be best leaving either friday mornin and comin back sunday night or leaving saturday morning and comin home monday night doesnt really bother me either way just wateva suits you guys

Im up for leave early (leave by 7am) sat morn and get home say 8-9pm mon night...
or maybe we could tie it in with a public holiday so that ppl dont have to ask for the day off?? i.e. Australia day cruise..
I dont think we'll be having to big of nights... not only do we have to drive the next day (thats the whole point of this) but we can also drink all we like in qld...
that said there will be drinking... but i wouldnt say enough will be consumed to make you dread a 6 hour cruise home...
Im still up for a 5-6hour drive down, then unpack and settle in... have fun then drive the 5-6hours back again...
too much hassle unpacking, then packing, then driving, then unpacking, then packing then driving...

It shouldn't be any hassle to pack / unpack etc ... surely about the most we'd be taking would be a few essentials (toothbrush/toothpaste) & a couple of changes of clothes.. & maybe a towel.. I could understand if we were camping for a week or something..
I'd have thought the biggest problem with that would be having to book accommodation twice..
As for the drinking, I'm sure Yang would disagree with you

Sam i do like your idea on the Australia day idea. Does this suit everybody????????
Leave early saturday mornin (round 7am or so) arrive in coffs approx 1-2pm. spend arvo nite and morning with sydney guys who want to join.
leave coffs back to byron round 12 on sunday. reach byron round 4pm
spend arvo nite and whole of next day in byron leave when eva you feel and only short trip home. ill think of leaving in the arvo round 4 getting home round 5pm monday night.
1 X is 1 set of cruiseing clothes (comfortable)
1 X set of drinking clothes (very comfortable) lol

Lol... Coffs sounds the goods...
But byron?? Coffs is a lot better...
Im still up for the spend two nights in one place...
It also works better from point of view for NSW club members... Dont know if they'd want to make the trip up just for a night...
two nights chillin out together would be much better IMO
