When a friend offers to help work on your car, sometimes it's better to say "No thanks". As a result of their lack of care, I now need to replace the piece of console that begins directly under the air con controls and scoops down to surround the stereo, ashtray and gearstick. As if that wasn't enough, they then connected the battery back-to-front and fried the ECU, so, I need one of those as well! Can anyone help with these items for my '96 GPX or point me in the right direction to find them? I'm located on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. Oh, and just in case you're wondering, a particular friend no longer touches ANYTHING in my car!

The part you are after are called a stereo surround, as said above Dstocks can get new ones at a 1/3 the price that Mitsubishi Australia would charge you.
It would not mater who took it off it would have broken no mater what. They get very weak over time.

There are 2 size driveshafts, one with 25 splines (26.6mm shaft dia) the other is the 27 spline (28.5mm shaft dia)
Just throw a vernier or rule etc across the driveshaft end or diff shaft slots.
Also throw a pic up as well, just want to make sure its not a limo diff too. Also auto or manaul?
