Azzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Lol. $1200 is a fair price for that, it is a metal cat they're giving you though ? If it's a ceramic cat, price may be a bit high. I'm using my tax return for rego and CTP hehe.

The mivec controller can only alter the high cam engagement point but not timing/ignition or afr so it won't increase peak dyno readout power. Seems the general consensus of adding a piggyback is another 5kw atw provided you've done some intake and exhaust work. See how your readouts are after intake and exhaust first though imho. After i did intake and exhaust, with factory ecu, the afr's were pretty much spot on, even better than the base run. I was going to put an e-manage in my car (still got it laying around haha) but i don't think it's worth it imho. It'll probably only give me a bit more power top end (as that's where i can still lean out the afr) but the rest of rev range is spot on, so there'd be no gain at all from normal driving. And the price if you didn't have the unit already would probably be all up bit over $1000 for purchase, install and tune. Would rather spend on brakes and suspension hehe.

Didn't you say in another thread that they tested the mivec controller and best was still factory set or 100 rpms below it ?

Oh btw, check out Best Mufflers in carlton for exhaust work, decent pricing but top notch quality and really honest advice.

AZA, get the exhaust AFTER the dyno day, then you'll be able to see the difference in KW's.

Put me down as a good maybe for this.

Okay guys, just to update y'all...
Driving down to the snow this sunday (hell yes!) and planning on being back the weekend of the 22nd. Unfortunately, I think that means driving back on the sunday so I'm most likely ruled out.

The woman just didn't seem to grasp the concept of a dyno and why a bunch of guys could find it exciting...

I'd come down for it if the FTurbO was finsihed. Need a nice trip to NSW anyway...

Let me know when the next one of these is happening and if its after august, i'll prob make the trip.

Also, a 2.5" Exhaust is the way to go.. I love my one. can feel the difference i think.

Time to go to 3" though..

I saw a V6 Camry put out more power at the wheels then a friends stock tiptronic 96 FTO .... He was pretty embarrassed... I think it was cause he was mucking around with his Mivec controller ... And he didn't quite know how to set it ...
