this is great guys, basically i need to order 100lights, so 25 sets, i assume i'll be able to get a few responses from FTOOC as well when i get the samples. and i'll keep a few sets, cos we all know as soon as it's all done, someone will ask for them lol. i'm willing to keep up to 10sets (1set for the company so they have it as a sample of cool things that they've imported lol), so i guess once the numbers get up to over 15 (inc. FTOOC when i eventually do make a post there), i'll place the order

hmmmm this may seem silly, but put me down for two, a white and a green. if they're only gonna be $50-60 why not. Cos I'm still uncertain of the Green so I'll have white as back up, or mix the two, who knows

ok, quick update

the samples are being held up at the office in china (chinese new year, basically means that the whole country grinds to a complete holt for the 2 weeks lol)

i've told the girls there that if they cant get someone to bring it back here for me within the week then i'll pay for it to get posted here.

so hopefully the samples will get here early march and it'll take me till the coming weekend to get the photos and DIY done, then we'll go from there.

at this rate it looks like i am definately going to order 100 lights (25sets), at least 10 from us and i'll see how it goes on FTOOC, hoping for another 10 there, but it doesnt matter if it's less than that. hopefully we should be abel to get our hands on these by the end of march or maybe early april.

ok guys, update.

I finally managed to find out when the samples are going to arrive, someone's bringing them over for me, and they should arrive in Brisbane on the 8th (Thursday), which means hopefully i'll get them for the weekend and make the sample up on the weekend. (so every thing is pretty much still on schedual)

and i'll post the photos up on sunday or something, then i'll hit FTOOC up and see if they want some. then confirm order then place the order

oh and i just realised this... (dont know how it is that i didnt think of this before), you can order different colours for the high and low beams, in fact u can order 4 different colours for the 4 rings if you really wanted. cos they r quoting me per ring, which means when we order "a set" we r actually ordering 4 individual lights, so u can choose whatever colour.

I *really* hope someone doesn't get 4 colours

got the samples this afternoon, hope u guys r happy i had to work for like 2 or 3 hrs for free (didnt have work today but i had to go in to pick these up and ended up having to do some work anyway )

they sent me 8 lights (2 sets) but only 2 power adapter thingos (so only enough to run half 1 head light at a time lol)

i'll see if i can put them in tomorrow night, shouldn't be hard, but just need to find the time (sure doesnt look like it's worth $400+ to have them installed as i read in another thread on here ages ago lol)

I love ordering stuff from china, swear to god it's like christmas... you never know what the hells going to be in the box even if you dropped 40000 hints to santa... china always manages to surprise me lolol.

Order some metal part in a large quantity + they give you spare parts... and the spares are plastic... *sigh* Seriously - it can be like russian roulette with some factories

just out of curiosity... what did you order? just dont see how they can make sex dolls out of metal lol jk, sry drunk (hance why i though i shouldn't play around with the lights tonight lol)

they r smart ppl eh, cos i asked for some free samples to test for size, so they sent me samples to test for size (with 8 lights and only 2 power thingo, it means i cant sell/use all of them, and all i can do is test for size lol)

althogh i'm going to have a go at the girls in the china offce for holding them for more than 2 months

once again hope u guys r happy, i'm thinking about quiting, and i am going to hand in my 2 week notice when this light transaction is complete. so u guys r responsible for me being stuck in an underpaind job, shame on you

Anyway one of the companies I work for gets engines/parts/motorbikes (not ebay shitters) and various other things.

Order was bikes + spares ... racing throttles on the bikes... spares included were plastic crappers.

I can see why a lot of people would have difficulty importing from china and other countries... seen a few "smooth" moves from various unamed people from unspecified countries.

Greed and the mighty USD motivates them to do stupid things... guess their wages aren't overly high.

Nothing more valuable then reliable and HONEST staff in the country you're importing from! or at the least very good industry contacts.

They are smart in some regards though, you're right... I assumed they'd only give 1 or two power packs so you couldn't just ask for a demo set and do a runner. They are pretty good at getting samples out to you to look at ... credit there where that's due. Guess they never thought you could have been ordering them for a road bike! haha!

Just pisses you off when they cut corners somewhere... the beauty of dealing with factories you know and trust I guess hehe

Altho in your case it seems staff in your company were the bottle neck in the time it took to get the samples here.

All whinging aside, there are some good factories over there that make some decent products. It's amazing what "quality" brands come out of the region. LOVE rebadged products Who likes paying for "the label"

What colour samples did you get? (:
