Car looks good man

If i may, put my 2cents in. Any chance of spacing out your wheels a little? I think it would really just set the whole car off.

Thanks kustom :D

Hmmm.....space the wheels out.....I agree it would look good but not high on the list of things to do at the moment.....unless it's your shout for spacer rings :D

Got my replacement number plates yesterday, with slim front plate
Washed the FTO again today and took it out for a local photoshoot in Port Pirie.

Yeah but Phil has replaced pretty much everything in the car anyway

And whatever goes bang he will just fix. He's like a non-turbo version of Bennoz who drinks bourbon instead of tinnies
I fix cars.

Phil's GPX is the bright red angel of death, drowning out the screams of his victims with the roar of MIVEC.

 at both of you

I wanted to try a different background for the photoshoot. I thought the red would stand out well amoungst the dreary colours of the graveyard, and I believe I was correct!
I have other ideas/sites I want to try out in the future too. :cheeky:

Knowing that you painted the car yourself, and seeing that shine, is inspiring! I decided I'm going to to have a go at it myself in a month or so aswell.
Did it take a few good polishes before getting that nice gloss? And do you remember what brand of clear coat you used? And how much of it? sorry for all the questions :D
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....
except maybe a p plater on a unicorn

Thanks :D
I think it was Dulux or could have been PPG, I can't quite remember.
I used 3 coats of clear, any more and it can start going yellow.
I use a synthetic polish, Turtle wax "Ice".
It didn't take too much polishing to get the shine, the paint was pretty much already shiny from the start, but I have to keep using the polish (4 times a year) to keep the shine.

Thanks to you to :D
My tail lights are tinted with a removable film, bought off of eBay, Vectose helped me wrap them.

EDIT: Of course it's raining hard now after all that effort I put into my polishing :(D):
