Seriously you should go get yourself a job at a depression clinic. No c**t could be depressed with you around, they'd be too busy pissing themselves laughing

At least he's having a crack at it. Doing better than I would be.
toaster just slow down. You seem very eager to get this done. Some advice I got from my bestie in my build thread -

You are always in too much of a rush, slow down a bit and think about what your going to do.
Write a plan for the day with the help of the workshop manual, then you have something to follow-check off.
I fix cars.

Yes I agree, just hope though that he doesn't kill himself in the process.Daniel2019 wrote:

Toby, it is great that you're having a go at this yourself, but quite seriously, if you mess some of this sh*t up, you could very easily end up in an accident, that could very easily end up killing you or someone else.
If you don't know what you're doing (and in your case you've got no f**king idea ), sorry, had to throw that last one in ;
READ THE MANUAL / READ THE MANUAL / How many times do I have to say READ THE f**king MANUAL!

Re: Gearbox removal and swap help
I had to pay $9 to view someone's guide on a manual conversion.( Ben happens to have it, it's not on this site)
As helpful as it is, it's very basic. All the questions I have, the guide obviously doesn't answer, which is why I'm here. In the help section

Re: Gearbox removal and swap help
Do I put in the manual ecu or keep the auto one?
I realise the obvious answer is probably manual. But the guide says absolutely nothing about swapping computers..
Cheers

Re: Gearbox removal and swap help
Leave the auto one in & make sure you do the wiring on the plug as per the guide. Otherwise you wont get it to start.

Re: Gearbox removal and swap help
had to remove the auto one to fit the linkages through the wall.
so put it back in and do the reverse switch wiring etc? start it.
then swap to the manual one?
