Due for dyno tomorrow! Today we've just gotta install a new electronic boost controller, rewire the coil packs & bleed the clutch :)

There are a few other things that need doing as well, but they can wait. Things like regassing the air con, rewiring the amp & sub etc. Trivial stuff.

And yes I have a massive erection. And yes Aza you can polish those lights & pipes :P

Possibly, I'll see how I go. Still got a few things to sort after the motor is right.

hahaha, there's a lot of 'shining' going on by the sounds of it. Bennoz, I thought the haltech ecu just used your factory solonoid to control boost up to a certain psi? Can't remember how much though, but if you needed more you're able to get external sensors which would allow you to run whatever you wanted.

You better be getting the eboost 2 and not the street boost!! If you're getting the street version, save your penny's and get a greddy profec 2 ebc which will be cheaper and better overall. Hell you should be able to find an apexi avcr around that price range too which is an awesome little unit.

Not yet! Its so close now, I've got a semi all day everyday

Worked on it all day yesterday (hope my boss isn't reading this!) and got a sh*t load done. I untwisted one of my coilovers & solved the problem that was causing it (a problem the car has had for years) with a large hammer & a pneumatic hand held belt sander. I plumbed in & wired up my new boost controller, I wired back in my sub & amp as the battery has been moved to the boot, then bled my clutch (and fixed a leak it had in the line, again something its had a problem with for some time.)

I even moved my chair back into position & adjusted the mirror  God its good to feel the clutch pedal with some weight under it again. Also re-lubed up the quickshifter in preparation. Also sorted through all the boxes of left over bit & tossed what we didn't need & brought the rest home for spares.

There's only 1 thing left to do before dyno & thats wire in the coil packs. Couldn't do it yesterday as the guy that does all that wasn't in. Im happy to do it myself, but Im not 100% sure what wire goes where.

Post dyno, there are 3 things left to do, finish up the new intake pipes (and filters,) make up a catch can which will gather up all the manifold pressure lines & hook the air con back up. The air con will be a little fiddly as we've had to move a lot of the lines around. There'll be some oxy & bending required there.

Apparently, (and this is where the turbo talk befuddles me) the Haltech will do a majorty of the boost management, but with the aftermarket wastegates I have, we need a basic boost controller to set them.

I didn't need any of the fandangled features of the eboost 2, and thank god because its a f**king hideous gawdy gauge. The pro street was enough, and got it at trade price.

*also puts learning cap on*

Apparently its got "Open or closed loop boost control ( Road speed, RPM or gear based mapping)"

There's a vacuum line nozzle on the ECU itself.

Really? very interesting, im impressed. So vacuum hose actually goes into the cabin? Or does it have a senor first then wires into the cabin?

Sorry if Im hijacking your thread.

Its cause we've gone with the individual coils packs. Got a 1 in 6 chance of f**king up the wiring of the firing order  Hopefully they'll get it sorted.
