dont get overly excited. it wont be at full potential though.

only has had a VERY basic tune done.

only took fuel out cos it was running so rich. timing or anything hasnt been touched.

he's going to tell me how much more he can get from it and we'll go from there

what figures do they expect to get from it?

wouldn't it be easy as to chuck it on a ferry & drive her up to sydney for tuning?

Your on my level of thinking. You cant do all that sh*t and say how quick it is, and not show us a dyno!!

u guys are going to be in disbelief.

Alrighty the outcome of the dyno.

ill chuck the graphs up over the weekend dont have the time.

I got 110Kw at the front wheels with 250nm of torque.

BUT. The mapping is fucked. so fucked its not funny

Its running so lean its a joke. he didnt even know how it was still running. i dont know what the hell autocraft did but i have lost all faith in them and never going back

once i get it completely re mapped im going to autocraft and go off my head at them and show the before and after.
the power line is all curvy like its not a nice curve its retarded.
i knew it wasnt running anywhere near its full potential but honestly this is a joke.

just by quickly adjusting the FPR by a random amount to increase the fuel pressure we got an extra 5 kw across the board and extra 10 nm across the board.
this is because i had limited time in between shifts

In the first run the guy looks at me after he stopped 3/4 of the way and looks at me and goes how the hell is your car still running?
its running so lean. Air to fuel ratio thingy should be around 13. Mine was 19 which is wayyyyy off and not a nice flat line but curvy.

its all just wrong. he's suprised i havent melted a piston or anything yet.

thank god i havent gone to the track or driven the sh*t out of it.

but yeah so far its a 30kw increase from 79kw which is what it was before.
this thing has so much more potential

im going in on a sunday and we're going to spend the day completely remapping it.

he did say though he was very impressed by the throttle response and it sounded like a ferrari he had in there ;)

i genuinely trust this guy as he knows his stuff. he's got insane cars in there with 1000hp and drift cars etc.

so in about 3 sundays is when its going to get done. he said $450 for the complete retune or maybe a bit more depending how we go.

FML i never use that expression but it just seems like this is required for this situation.

Wow... 19 is way off the mark. As mentioned, should be between 12 & 14 for afrs.

Getting there thou :) 110kws will do away with most stock FTO's, certainly any tips thats for sure.

thats exactly what he said. But yeah with the amount of work done to it shouldn't just be getting that. I'm so glad this guy opened. Probably killing my engine slowly :( with what i.ve said ben how much more do you think is possible?

trust me its running no where near potential. its starving for petrol.
and timing and everything else hasnt even been touched which will be way out.

like i said its getting a complete re map of everything to get it running right.

this guy knows his stuff his set up is all new and good.

he even sits you in the car and runs you through everything and tells you exactly what is going on and why etc.

great learning experience at the same time!

when it gets the final tune ill record the dyno run and chuck it on youtube.
Just have to use my work internet as i only have prepaid wireless

ANYWAYS WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
even though its running like arse :(

Ok so this is the first run where he didnt rev it out all the way cos as you can see its running insanely lean and he was like wtf how is your car running.
What can we make from this?

Image

the next one is where he quickly adjusted the FPR regulator as we hardly had any time by a unknown amount. the red line is the first run and the blue run is the more fuel run. but how much more we have no idea. as you can see he didnt go the whole way once again. even less. driving around though u can notice the difference slightly with the slight change he made.

Image

So its starving for fuel, the timing is way out, pretty much not tuned in any regards and it gets this much. what should i be expecting from a full comprehensive tune?

Will definitely get some more power with a good tune.

What surprises me though is you managed to get 250nm of torque at the wheels while running so lean 8O significant increase from a stock fto which supposedly produces 200nm at the flywheel

interesting when did you put the 4 cylinder motor in?
I am only going off the dyno sheets :D

But I have to say it is getting there and with a good tune you should be very happy with it.
