Yeah yeah we want updates :D Any news on the gearbox and new wastegates???

On another note, I've been looking into piggy back ecu's for my car and was wondering how easy your tuner found your haltech interceptor to tune? These have built in boost controllers yeh that use the factory solenoid?? Any problems other than the leads?? Just trying to compare these to an apexi power fc (feel free to delete this post if its hijacking)

Haven't had time do much mate, having just moved house, I really haven't had time to scratch myself :|

Motor is back out, gearbox has been sent away to be fixed, cam gears have arrived thou :)

Hopefully we'll be able to get her back on the dyno in a week or 2 & get the tune finished.

Gotta love the new Haltech setup thou, to pull the motor out now, its just undo the engine mounts & exhaust - then the loom unplugs with one plug & the motor drop pout the bottom. Plug & play engine ftw!

Bit hard to give an unbiased opinion on how hard they find the Interceptors to tune as they are pretty much a Haltech shop! Dunno about the boost control as Im not using an Interceptor, we ended up going for the standa alone Sport 1000.

And thats it! A good tune, wind the boost up a bit (but not too much, maybe 10-15psi) & she'll be hopefully back on the road in about a month.

Lol. Good things come to those who wait eh mate?

they look sweet, better than the ones I had made, where did you get them from?

Had them manufactured by a local engineering shop. They used the exisiting gears to make them from. Can find out the shop name if you need it.

I don't suppose they would have a blueprint or something of the job would they? If they do what are the chances of getting a copy (for a cost). I can't find any here...

Box will be back in a day or 2, then it all goes back together. Got some u-beaut Bosche ignition system going in, a 2 pin GR alternator to work with the Haltech (didn't like the 4 pin Legnum one) new vernier cam gears are on the exhaust cams, modified waste gates to hold higher boost... and I think thats about it

Yeah, then retune.
