um ben how come the alternator doesn't work man as it is a 4pin alternator on the 6a13 mate. Is this because of the computer your running mate. Damn they are so bloody good power readings mate. Wow man my mate runs 16psi in his galant and his actuators hold the boost mate.

Yeah Simon, they explained to me what they're gonna do with the coils. Its some sort of Bosche standalone unit they're putting in. Will get some details up when it goes in.
Mitch, the 4 pin alternator is no good. The reason being is that alternators that have 4 pins have the voltage regulated by the ECU. Thats why Mivec alternators are a pain in the ass, the secondary pins actually go direct to the ECU & the ECU governs the voltage output. In our case, we dont want that, it screws with the Haltech. We need plain & simple 2 pin alternators that regulate their own power.
Dunno about your mates Galant, but the factory 6A13 waste gates have very soft springs in them. They guys are actually going to pull them apart & modify them to get the pressure they need from them.

yep got ya ben I thought it might have been because of your new ecu mate. I really wanted to see your car man next time maybe. I leave on tuesday.
Hey ben why not run 2 external wastegates man and close the internal ones mate. This is what my tuner was going to do instead of modifying the front wastegate. But I said no as it to expensive mate.

The torque steer is exaggerated .. easily controllable with one hand while changing gears..
the worst part is the lack of traction .. for lack of a better word "Powerslide Understeer" .. when you give it too much accel it just starts to slide .. sort of like in a NA FTO, when taking off too fast in the rain.. requires a bit of a light touch to get under control..

AWD definitely on the cards if I can find a dirt cheap FTO as a project car.. needless to say I will be building the AWD Chassis up on the spare FTO before transferring all the good bits in

Well, in order for them to make all these changes, they've just ripped the motor out again, the box is off & being sent back for warranty repair & Im just about to drop off other parts.
Using the GR alternator, also got the 2 exhaust cam pulleys with me, they're being shipped off to have vernier centres put in & apparently the coil solution & stiffer wastegates have been ordered.

damn ben mate that must suck buddy. How long will it take them to do all these upgrades mate. Hope the box is ok. The wastegate problem is weird mate let us know how these go.

Well the wastegates aint meant to hold more than 13-14 pound. Factory setup doesnt go past it so you'll find you need to do the same mode to get more boost out of it.

hey ben were the hell is the intake to your turbos mate i cant see it in the pic .
well mate i am not lieing when i say my mates galant runs 15 psi mate. well i will find out when i turn the boost up haha. mate your car looks sweet.
hey ben is the pipe going into the y pipe to the intercooler 1.5 inch mate then 2.5 down mate.

Wont make over 300 as is, probably 270 or so. Will get it over 300 with the nos though, were hoping 330 - 340atwkws with the gas on.

lol you say that as if you're dissappointed

270kws atw's is crazy figure, especially on stock internals!! I reckon though with different turbo's you could achieve a higher figure but downside would be you'd lose some low down power due to lag. I think your current set up s gonna be all awesome all around though
