2 years later, my license was suspended, but I was not notified, I was then caught for driving whilst suspended. I had to take it to court, and the good news was the prosecutor decided to let me off, bad news was it costs me over 2k in legal fees.

If placing P signs on windows, they must be held against the glass, be displayed conspicuously in the lower left-hand (passenger) side of the windscreen and on the lower left-hand side of the rear facing window and must not be placed on any other part of the window area.
if I was u...I would have raced a 10s taga top supra...crashed and then fled the scene and re-appear 2 movies later, right at the end.

when me and AJ wur at the "tokyo drift wannabe" event lol, couple of guys were telling us how if u think u did something wrong, quickly pull into a private property like a servo or sum1s house or watever before the cops have the chance to put on their siren and come after u.

that way even if u had been speeding, u just deny it and they cant do anything?

Not like i speed.. to be honest i really DO drive like a granny lol. im not just saying it, i just seem to be really paranoid about speeding nowadays, and more and more conscious of not having insurance (altho that doesnt seem to bother ben lol)

If you saw my previous driving record you would understand... besides, I drive like a granny on any other given day. I haven't had a prang in almost 8 years either.

I spose its been a few years since I did anything silly, so I could look around for better pricing.... but house move & xmas all take precedence of the bank account at this stage

cant be that bad.. as a 19 year old my FTO insurance was $440 for third party property fire and theft, $320 for just property. would have been a bit more if i was in sydney probably but yeah still affordable.

but now i pay $900 for full comp on my s15.. go the ADM cars haha

My last quote for full comprehensive was $5700....

He stole candy from a baby, fleeing the scene he broke into a ferarri dealership, took the closest car, ran over some pedestrians, decided to stop at an atm where the machine wouldn't dispense money so he went into the branch to dispense some vigilante justice, left with 400k cash, a pretty hostage and some extra sugar free gum, ran a red light, sped thru a speed trap, picked up some milk on the way home but didn't pay, rear ended a police van, knocked the officer out and did a line of coke off the hostage, cruised around to his mates place for a beer.

Clearly, he's been playing too much GTA.

Was I close?

I'm going with Just Cars soon, the quote at the moment is 2500. Going to call Shannon's but don't hold out much hope as someone else said that they wouldn't insure him as he hadn't had enough experience with a performance car. :x

I didn't think shanons insured anyone under 25, they explicitly said as such to me on the phone. Not as the primary driver... at least but someone said on here somewhere that they or their g/f was insured with them. No idea.

Anyway all I've heard about shannons are good things... altho all insurance companies tend to be bastards when it comes to at fault claim time ;) they're just slightly nicer pricks?

At any rate, I'm glad to be 25... I'm on 950/year insuring my car, which should decrease as my bad behaviour slides off the 5 year driver history ;) that and from 25 it's all downhill payment wise :D

when i called shannons, they didnt know what a FTO was. 8O
odd, but i swear i'm not lying.

"hi i've just bought a car and i'm going to pick it up in a few hours, i would like to enquire...." blah blah blah
"make?"
"mitsubishi"
"model?"
"FTO"
the she said something along the lines of what is that. and then informed me that i probably had to go see them in person so they can tell me they dont know what my car is in person...

but then again, it's probably just my luck that i got the 17yr old blonde bimbo that's sleeping with her 54 yr old 155kg bolding boss who's got 2 ex wives, 1 wife, 3 kids younger than her and 1 older, and 2 known STDs.

I talked to some people from Shannon's at a stall at an auto show, they said if I could prove I was a genuine enthusiast that they would allow an under-25 driver.

However, like I said before, someone tried this and they refused him cover as he 'hadn't had enough experience with a performance vehicle'. I think even with Just Cars the premium would decrease after the first year, I've seen that said in the insurance section. Its still annoying, as only a month ago the EXACT SAME QUOTE was 2k flat, and now its gone up $500. :x
