Sydney people charge WAAAAAAY too much for everything!!!jonowong wrote: extra $400 a year not worth it in my opinion...
Move to SA where custom 6 letter plate is $150 / year or 7 letters is $250 / year. I thought the 7 letters was a bit pricey. Thanks jonowong, you put it in perspective for me!
I'm in the same boat Oliver89. Just can't come across the perfect plate either.
Some more to laugh at:

I'd do it just to get a slim plate for the front, a big plate on the front of my car would look like absolute ass.oodLes wrote:lol Custom numberplate's make people look like utter fools. Its an overstatement and a waste of money imho.

Each to their own though, in all things - seriously. In some states it's cheap as chips and fine imho.
Edit: I wouldn't pay $2k for plates though, I think I could spend 2k elsewhere and be happier with the result haha
I ordered some cheap plates as I wanted silver ones to match the car. I Got "96 - GPX" nothing exciting really and I think it doesn't that screams "FIGJAM" like some try hard plates.
Slim line plate on the front, regular on the back. Looks nice.

See that I can agree to. The only plates I even considered were "95MIVEC" or "OFTO". I can't stand the stuff that i see on wide body skylines and such like URDRMN and things like that.boarsai wrote:I ordered some cheap plates as I wanted silver ones to match the car. i dont see anything wrong with personalised plates that r things like your name and stuff or something funny i guess.
saw "BOOBS" on a ferarri
"STIKEM" on a rex
"STOLEN" on a comm ute
these ones are good.
"KYM 56" etc... are ok, but pretty boring.
