I can tell you now most import car yards would make 10k on a car i was only looking for around 34k so i added the extra 2k for negotiaions.

So your telling me if you imported a car for 27k and u decided to sell it you would only sell if for 27k ?

even import caryards such as SSV in melb hardly try to make a 10k profit..most they make is like 5k - 7k..i know because the owner of SSV is my friend's father...

if i imported a car for 27k (keeping in mind the only thing i had to do is specify the type of car,kms range, mods, etc to the import company), they would take care of the rest, i definatly wouldnt try to make a 10k profit let alone a 7k profit as i would know that the effort for me to import it was pratically zero. i would sell it for 5k more but at least maybe i'll mod it abit just to show that i've put some effort into the car...

Another thing Phoenix Imports is a rare breed, hes prices are lower than any other importer, if you got a quote for a EVO VII from Imports 101 or prestiege they would say around 33k.

Thats why im importing through Phoenix as ive already got that 5k saving for when i sell a car that i have imported

Well with on road costs and having to change rotors over it ended up being closer to 30k anyway so i didnt really put that much on it.

I needed 50k for the GTR so i based it on 15k for the FTO and 35 for the evo

Anyway who the f**k are u to question how much i should sell a car for anyway.... You have been here all of 5 mins and u act like u own the place

no need to get angry..im just informing everyone of what's going on, they can then make their own decisions if they wanna waste 36k or just import one themselves.

by the way :

Hi Guys,

I orginally wanted to start this post in the import section and update you all week by week on how the process went but it was locked by one of the moderators so im here to follow up on my experience importing through Phoenix Imports...

Well i now have my car in compliance at Crossover Car Conversions in Victoria, i first started my importing adventure back in early July so it hasnt taken long for the whole process to come to a close. I would like to thank Phoenix Imports for making the experience as easy as possible and for keeping their in regards to the budget. Even though i was told i was stupid for sending $19000 to a complete stranger i never had any doubt that Phoenix Imports wouldnt come up with the goods. This was due to the quality customer service on always keeping me informed and providing documentation giving me peace of mind that my car actually did exsist.

Here is a run down on what was actually spent on the car:

Car $19000
Shipping $1300
Customs $1700
Compliance $4500
Service Fee $800
Total $27300

Now after my first post on this forum i was rudely told that i was in trouble as i had paid $19000 for a car and i would be looking at paying over $30000. To be honest i was worried because i couldnt afford that much money. I feel that it was totally unprofessional to post, obviously he had no idea of what can be done when there is an honest importer doing business for the customers and not for himself to fill his own pockets.

Anyway im one happy camper got a quality EVO VII GT-A for $27300 check out the pics below which were taken at the Crossover Car Conversions in Victoria. If anyone would like to contact me before doing business with Phoenix Imports feel free to do so via PM.

Once again thanks for your quality service Phoenix and i cant wait for the GSR to arrive.
Heath Nathan - Adelaide

THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS MADE BY U RIGHT? UMM rotors are included in the compliance so please dont lie to me and say u had to spend extra...

funny thing is, after i posted my first comment, u have decided not to sell your car, as u said before, y dont u just let buyers make their own decisions? i have just informed them of the details thats all.

I was coming in here to inform people that the car was no longer for sale and saw your dribble..

Umm no rotors are not included in the price, normally rotors are not under sized in my case they were... I put $4500 as this is what i was quoted by the compliancer and the referal written by me was posted before the compliance was completed.

I got DBA 4000's on the front and Stock on the back being a total of $1045 and then u add stamp duty and on road costs and u get a figure closer to 30k.
