What you do is remove your 1.5k worth of headlights from the car and firstly throw them into the oven...
...if at this stage you still want to know more just say so and i can explain the rest
Step 1 usually makes it a bit prohibitive to most people.

I had a DIY on this from a magazine I bought a while ago, the only risky thing about this is, if it isn't done perfectly, then it'll leave gaps causing leaking and constantly foggy lights, good 2 know u pulled it off nicely

Ok I just spent half an hour looking thru the index pages of all the mags I had and i think it's in one of the ones that my friend's borrowed a while back.. he grabbed a whole stack before but I remember what it said anyway
the guide was actually on DIY indicators for older cars which had orange lights at headlights so it doesnt mention anything about the paint, so u'll have to make your own choices on how to paint.
a simplified version of it from the top of my head:
unscrew and unplug the lights;
make u remove all screws and rubber bits if any and put it in the oven at 80 degrees for 5 minutes - do this one at a time;
this is how u take it off, like i said, find out the best way of painting it then just glue the front back on.
i wouldn't do this myself though in case i fuked something up, rather pay somebody to do it but even then, still not worth the risk
how did max do it?
