the car looks a bit thinner but has huge flares on it, the rear suspention has change to a strut now, the battery is located in the boot, it basically looks more euro.
I have only seen the SV6, I've heard that the 6ltr V8 in the clubsport is suppost to have over 300kw, something like 340kw I can't remember the figures, but can do 0 - 100 in 3.5 sec if its got traction, this is what I've been told anyway.
3.5sec? none of the review i've read so far said its anywhere near high 4, or 340kw.
Those times were just rumors that were going around the workshop for the HSV range.

i dont think that car can go from 0-100 in 3.8sec
non of the HSV go ANYWHERE near it...
and traction...if they have traction control on, theres still plenty of wheel spin at launch (the hsv 385 i think i drove)
without traction control, no traction till 3rd gear.
but on a roll, they're a weapon because the torque is spread so well over the rev range coz its v8
they sound realli cool compare to my evo
my car sounds like an airplane lifting off and then a pigeon got sucked in lol

All this week the VE are starting to roll in, but today we had like 7 of them in for there predelivery and yesterday was the same, I got a orange SV6 to work on.
Here are a few pics I took with my phone:
Yep a new car with 19km already on the clock, the battery is now in the boot, rear suspenion has changed, bigger wheels now, rear brakes are bigger, the flatspot has been tuned out and 5kw gain over the VZ SV6, you can not change the head unit just like the falcon, we had a SSV with a colour screen so you could watch DVD's.
only sedans are out, later on the ute will come out, I'm still not sure about the HSV range, I've only seen pictures of it.

There are other things that are bigger on it as well, the wheel nut are now 22mm before they were 19, but I reacon the cabin space is a bit smaller, but the boot is bigger, if you get the SS it has a bigger spoiler than the SV6.

IMO just another crappy holden it looks like its designed around the whole holden range with bits and pieces of astra, vectra and monaro all slapped together the vz was tryin to be jap and now the ve is tryin to be euro. I think they can keep trying but they will never get there.

lol tell us what u really think. I would never get one, but do recognise it as some major advantages over my FTO - and so it shuold its fuking 12 years newer!

I've just read 50+ pages about it in this months Wheels mag....
I'd pull the motor outta the Clubsport, then urinate all over the other cars as I ran away with a Gen IV motor. Waste of metal the lot of them....

From what i've read so far, i wouldn't mind one, just need to test drive one & see how well it handle & the comfort level.

Being an apprentice mechanic at the holden service department I know what goes on with the holdens, and I would have to say I would never buy one, but they are a pretty affordible car to own, plus they are like a number 1 selling car in australia so I'm pretty much always got work and I didn't want to be a mechanic that works at a servo.
One thing that scares me abit with the new VE is the electronics, VZ wasn't as bad but was still complicated, insted of having an ECU to run the show and VE has got like 28 modules, you got ECM, PIM, BCM, TCM, SDM they are just some of them, then there is the way of how these modules link up together like HS GMLAN and LS GMLAN.
OK I probably got all of you lost there, but commodore electrics are pretty much euro and are not a simple car, there is a list that I could go on about the car but I still rather own my FTO.

The HSV claime to do 0-100km/h in less than 5 seconds 307KW and 550NM of torque.
It has stoppers on it as good as a BMW M5. Think it stops .30 metres short of the M5 in brake tests.
Its got that magneto shock absorber crap the Ferrari GTB runs.
Pretty impressive if ya ask me, I still hate my Holdens though!
