Battery on 10V

well i'll be surprised if your needles sits above 14v cos it's normally between 13/14 at average!

when the alternator is on full charge for a flat battery your may get up the 15-16V mark for a bit...however it should go back to the 13-14V mark for normal operation.
if its not..it might mean a few things...
1. you guage/sensor is crap
2. your battery is not charging - i.e. needs some water or its dry
3. your battery is about to die ...see 2.
anyway dunno but I would start with those. Check the guage by using a multimeter accross the terminals and get a reference then look at the guage (while the car is running of course) also a good one is to get some1 to start the car and have a look at the voltage drop on ignition to get and idea how good/fuked your battery is.
if its not..it might mean a few things...
