Well we're getting ideas on other people's views.
Yep, it's totally true that an opinion can't be wrong, or else it wouldn't be called an opinion

It's also true that we will revolve around FTOs over other cars because this is an FTO forum (Yes, I figured it out all by myself lol ).

But it's BECAUSE this an FTO forum that I said this, because almost all of us would have had somebody tell us not to buy an FTO cos it's "slow", but regardless of what other people say, we still buy what we truly have passion for in the end, whereas lets say a WRX forum, half the people would have bought it just to show off with the speed etc.

Have to say that a REX with a good zorst sounds insane...was next to one last night and it sounded very cool....I would get one for the zorst sounds...but not the looks but a stock car that pulls 0-100 in under 6s..is a pretty impressive car - pitty the inside sux so much.

I don't mind the new MY06, since its got better features then MY05, apart from the engine is now 2.5L, its also use 4 spots front Brembo & 2 spots rear, HID with washer are standard & at the price still the same, its much better buy IMO.

The reason why ppl hate WRX is because there are way too many try hard who think they can drive, while it’s actually the car doing the driving. This also goes with any AWD, like EVO, GTiR, GTR as well. I guess the main factor is these cars are really bang for you bucks, you spend extra few thousands & you can piss your neighbor’s 911 off, so of course every mojo & their for will get one.

With the FTO, it’s the shape that attract most people, yes its more then 10yrs old now, but it still look current/fresh due to the design. I don’t give a rat of what people say about the FTO, it’s a car that don’t get to do more then 50km a wk. So it doesn’t matter which car I drive.

Car status things are so childish. If people want to compare, compare real assets and wealth, not some bullsh*t depreciating asset like cars.

As both an FTO owner and a Skyline owner I definately have grounds to make comment in this thread.

Yes I love my FTO, but I do like my Skyline better. Why? Because in my opinion it looks tougher and nastier, ready to eat small children. As much as I think the FTO is a great car, it will never beat the feeling I get when all 200+ kw's are throwing me back in my seat. Nor can it beat the feeling of having the car step out slightly as you gun it in second gear.

Now you might say, there are plenty of cars that could do this. However the Skyline was the best bang-for-your-buck car that I could afford. It just so happens that they have a fair bit of 'street-cred'.

The two things I'll miss about my FTO when it's gone is the handling and the interior. The interior in these cars are by far the best I have seen over [anything in the <20k price bracket. My R33 is bland in comparison.


In my opinion, the FTO is a cruiser - made for running up and down mountains and driving through the country side during the day, smooth and natural in shape. While the Skyline is made for night time street cruising, driving through industrial areas, a real chisled machine.

It's a great shame I cannot keep both. Perhaps in the future it would be an option.
