i replaced my window guides today...pretty easy job. You will notice straight away how the new one is hard to get on and the old one is a bit loose and easy to get off...

also I noiticed my back seat was making a rattling noise...the 3 hooks on the back near the shelf I have covered in some material so that no longer there is metal on metal and hence no noise...yay.

Do you think the dogdy way, to take out the window guide and give the metal fingers a few taps of the hammer would be just as easy?

Thanks for the hot tip on the back seat issue. I think I may have the same problem. I have a roll of heavy soundproofing rubbery stuff I might cut up in pieces for things like this. Was there also a cure for the boot rattling noises?

Also my passenger side door rattles while driving but only when the door is locked. The window has nothing to do with it but I think the bars inside that pull the door locked are touching or something.

I pulled the door apart to find where it might be coming from but I have no idea. I only hear it when I'm driving so I'm the other side of car when it happens hehe.

Any Ideas?

There should be a piece of foam behind the 2 rods that go to the inside door handle. The other thing that could be causing it is if too many of the door clips that hold the lining on are broken or if you have an after market central locking solenoid (the originals are crap and are quite often replaced) that hasnt had the wiring plug properly secured.

Oh and if its on the passenger side, check the glovebox. Things in that will quite often sound like theyre coming from inside the door.

mine were worn down, you dont need to replace them, just get some vice grips and squeeze them back together. if they are completly worn, then replace them

there is a 10mm nut u need to take off which is a bit of a fiddle. I took out my speaker to give me more room which worked well. Essentially u need to use a 10m ring spanner and off u go...u can either just fix up the ones u have or put in new ones...I bought these along with a range of other goodies a few weeks back so like $40 so I don't really care about saving the $40...def has a good effect on noise etc...
