Beer is a easy fix as long as you don't mix it with my engine oil or hmm :o

I ran out of time to get to his tappets :(

After doing AJ's brakes then putting a new sterio for him (which turned into a wiring nightmare) I ran out of sunlight!

Ah well, Im thinking of doing something like this once a month - like a "Bennoz workshop" day where I can do services etc for those in need & those who wish to watch & learn.

Really have to get to Melb thou - even if its just to meet the crew. Work has eaten any F1 plans I had :(

But if you folks get Autosalon sorted I'll make a point of coming down :)

Well i guess i was prob the first if not one of the first to change the tappets on a GR! Well has it been worth it? Ive done about 5000kms since the replacement and if my tappets were still the originals my car would be a tapping machine!!!

It still taps but it really shows how quiet my car is as the oil gets older! Will i replace them again?? No i'll get someone else to do it aahaahah,

what grade oil do you run in your FTO, try using a thicker grade that should make less ticking noise.

Well it would be good if it works that way! Ive been through every grade of oil possible and the 10W40 seems to work the best! Any thicker and it taps loud!

I remember how my back felt after finishing the rear lifters! It was not good!!!

I probably would not trust myself doing somoene elses lifters as one incorrectly seated rocker arm could mean disaster!!

Nor was my back! Took at least 12 beers to ease that pain!

And that a very good point you raise there... I might have to have a think about that
