I've seen this in person (in the very garage that it's pictured in).
From what he said, he had to grab onto the steering wheel to keep the wheel from jerking from the acceleration. Would love to see this in action - So Ben, now that you've RECENTLY purchased it, bring it out?

Wut?
The only thing stopping me form starting on this again, is a set of shelves I have to put up in the garage to house all the parts... and oh are there some parts.. LOL

The motor I've got prepped for my car is an original mini motor, just worked to within an inch of its life. Traditionally, they only last 5000kays in that guise lol, so I'm still tossing up what motor to put in next. It has to be a modern motor, retro streeter style.
Was thinking a Mitsi motor because of my knowledge base on them, so maybe, just maybe, I could dump a boosted 4G63 in there... drive train as well!

To be honest I think you should put a lighter motor in considering the weight of the Mini.
I'd say K20... there's probably loads of info out there on how this could be done + it'll probably be a 10 or 11 second car with a stock K20, let alone some modifications

To be honest, If I was going to go that nuts, I'd put 2 boosted Hyabusa motors in the back side of it.

FTO Australia - The one place where a simple post by a forum troll reignites the flames of old dreams, inspires creativity and urges inspiration.

I'd like the see a trollface on the guy accelerating, to see him speed up into a corner and go sideways off a cliff
How fast would that thing go considering it's carrying more weight?

PFFT... Wuss...
Chuck my motor in the back of it. 4D56 with bigger injectors, ball-bearing turbo and larger fuel pump. If the torque doesn't flip the car on take-off, then you're doing it wrong

Blar blar Honda! Bad as me with Fords.
2.0L Ford Ecoboost motor. Lighter than a Honda motor has way more power and double the torque. Will put the Mini in the 9's I reckon.
