FTO AUSTRALIA

umm i said this car is worth 23K but i think i over reacted with happiness...prolly about 20K because ill tell ya right now...i bought the car for 15k and on sites and books you can buy a FTO standered with 150,000KM on the clock with no paint or kit....when my car has a KIT, paint, and only 130,000KM on the clock...so i think i got a bargain and my car is worth more than 15,000 to start with!!!

which from then i have bought!!!

$2500 mags which i get next week
$650 new brakes
$1400 sound system
$200 with little stuff (lik strut brace, mats, windscreen wipers)

STILL TO COME
------------------------
install a lot of new stuff that havnt done yet because been on defect
carbon bonnet
custom boot
new front windscreen
maybe custom interior (if not leather seat covers)
i want them altezza lights (but to much money just for lights)

ooo and i aint getting a wing at all because i personally dont like spoilers!!!

umm thanks MEL for not thinking i actually had the car...just took me a while to work that site out and taking them pictures!!!

and my new mags are black and silver so it will change the boringness of the colour!!!

IM glad most of you people like my car anfd still have abit of money to go until it will be the way i like it..

ill post new pictures when i get my stereo installed and my new mags on...see if ya like them!!!

yeah silver and black mags will def complement the car more GOOD CHOICE..

Sorry mate, you can't simply expect your car goes up in the value with the amount of money you spend. If so, I think most member’s FTO would be at least $30k mark & some like Dannyboyau would be close to $100k

Ok then, since I’m selling mine, can you let these "$30k" people know about it, & my asking price is only $18.5k but with a lot more mods. So by comparison, it’s a bargain.

Glad that you like your ride man but if you're going to bag out 12 other people's FTO's you need a lot more than THAT to back it up.

not tryin to kick anyone in the nutz but the gold fto was on carsales for mid to low teens for a bloody long time.

Well 23K is a fair bit (including what you've spent) but a car is worth however much your willing to spend, so good on ya, and i hope you enjoy it!

yeh tell em for $15,000 they can get my fto which comes with body kit and p1 rims and heaps of other extras ;)

how the hell was i bagging 12 other FTO...i was only talking to fto883 and yeah it was on carsale for $16,000 but i knocked him down to $15,00 bcoz i had cash in hand!!!

and no the car was on the site for one week...so i dunno what you on man!!!

Since when did this community become one that rated it's members by the value of their FTO or the amount of money spent modifying it???
I have viewed many other members cars since joining this community and I have found things I liked and things "I" disliked about them... But when it comes down to it... It's that members FTO, their pride and joy and they're going to do what it is THEY like to THEIR cars for one reason... Because THEY LIKE IT... It has nothing to do with trying to create a ride that is worth more than someone elses... Or looks flashier etc etc!
I bought the FTO because I love the car, and have for ages! And I'm going to modify it to whatever level I desire, in whatever taste I like... And damn anyone who doesn't like it...

Have to admit, this kind of childish bickering makes you reconsider the value of a community that until now has seemed fantastic...
