I have the same setup as Jono,
Backs lower than the front, I have noticed it is better, but thats just my pref

hmm well i got apex gt's put in them when i got the car.. my understanding was that it would lower the car by bout 50-55mm with the gt's..

2 years on and putting new shocks on, it's now even lower... wierd.. though i am running stock wheels atm...

regarding oversteer n understeer chicky, don't worry bout that, they're just getting technical

better in terms of what?? and compared to what?

Compared to the previous standard suspension I had. I jsut hink it feels better.

right... yeah i have had that setup too and it definitely handled better than stock

but the topic here is whether lowering the front more than the back has any adverse affects on handling... which i dont think it does.. because i have tried all 3 possibilities...

i think the springs will lose its stiffness over time (depending on wear n' tear / mileage also i suppose). less stiffness means reduced ability to support weight over it, hence the lower ride height... kinda like a 'saggy' effect if you like.

those from melbourne with a lowered FTO and bodykit fitted, a word of caution- do not park at the cinema carpark at Knox City - they have speed humps upon entry and exit from the ramps so if you exit from the ramp (regardless of which angle you take) you WILL SCRAPE and if you go too fast, say bye-bye to your bumper/spoiler/bodykit... my spoiler is already cracked underneath... dammit

Anyone in Melbourne know of the supermarket carpark next to Monash Caulfield? One of the exits is so f*cked that thousands of cars have scraped on the gravel, lowered or not. The gravel itself shows many angled lines where it has been scraped.

yeh, i been to that car park in my old Lancer crapbox which wasn't even lowered at the time and it scraped the hell out of my front tow hook underneath the front bumper....

oh well, you can have the good without the bad at the end of the day i suppose... i mean you gotta admit, they don't make sports suspension to cater for supermarket car parks right??

...although Jetspeed in Melb is doing the right thing though - they modified their driveway to cater for ultra-low cars that get their kits done there... maybe Coles / Safeway etc should take note hey?

Eric (sbe8888), are you sure your car is not lowered? I just had a look at your website (nice graphics btw), it looks like it's lowered somewhat.

What size wheels/tyres do you have? My car is not lowered and my wheel/tyre combo (17X7 - 205/40) definately does not fill the guards like yours.

I remember years ago they used to have "irish" speed humps in the Glen Waverly shopping centre.
Instead of a bump, they had a dip in the road. I had never seen anything like that before....do they still have that there or anywhere else in VIC...I live in Syd.

i hang out at Glen Waverley quite often... which part of Glen Waverley shopping centre are you referring to, The Glen or Century City? i can't recall any dips in that area though'...
