if the cops track his address, you've got the exhaist to prove that it was him.....u have the evidence his cap, car and the video footage.
same story that to what happened to my mate at uni...he was havin a smoke outside where he had a view of his car. He saw another car do a hit and run and luckily he got the plates down. The cops tracked them and just matched the flecks of paint from the damage.. easy!

Although low resolution, the footage could still show things which could be used to identify the car, especially if modded.

Did you get him on camera when he came again? If so, the two bits of footage could work together to prove it was him.

Then pass it on to the cops and your insurance.

I wasn't after revenge i just wanted to face em and say that i could prove it was them so they could either offer to pay for it or i was going to the cops. Once they started to run i just had to chase em though, i can't stand the thought of them getting away with it.

The cool thing is now i now have a witness!! :D

One of the crew people who was leaving saw the whole thing. I went to the police station tonite after work and they are coming in to view the footage on Saturday, so if i'm lucky i just may be able to get the f**ker's!

hehehe getting the cops on him is still not quite the grinding of bone as you snap his fingers, or the beatiful snapping of ribs as the boot comes down... but the cops will do, main thing is he will regret ever thinking to key a car

Well the cops came down to work tonite and looked over the video footage. They agreed that the footage was enough to charge them and looked at the damage for themselves.

I've gotta go down and make a formal statement tomorow and get some quotes. They are going to contact the guy and inform him of his situation and ask for the name of his passenger as it was him who actually keyed the car, but basically he's stuffed. I also enquired if i would be able to get him to pay for the damage and they informed me that if he was charged then it would go to court for compensation for the damage. They also said he might just sh*t himself and offer to pay for it, which would work out really well for me either way. :D

So if anyone knows a good place for a respray let me know as i'd like to get some quotes on it.

The police have interviewed the guy who did it and he's admitted to it so it has to go to court now.
