the part I dont understand is why would I get a Air Intake Temp Sensor error if there is something wrong with TPS? I am sure that temp sensor is working fine, I tested it.

It happens all the time around the same rpm range, regardless accelerating gradually ar fast.[/quote]

Fully serviced the engine and gearbox 2 weeks ago. This includes flushing tip box, new oil & filter and threatment, new engine oil & filter, full engine coolant flush and new coolant. All spark plugs have changed with platnums. I also use pod filter with CAI setup, its all in good working order. Cleaned the filter recently as well. I played with TB to check that it works, looked fine to me.

That reminds me - Craig from Genesis had to figure out why the engine warning light came up on my car when the new ECU was fitted so head to take my car to a Mitsu dealership (not sure which one) to perform an MUT test and find out the error codes.

Go to Genesis and speak with Craig - he should be able to organise this for you.

I would check to make sure that the cable isn't broken en route from the sensor to the ecu.

When you reset the ECU, does the fault come back right away when you first turn on the engine? Or does it read the error codes after a bit of driving?

If the wire is broken, it should read an error immediately. To test if a wire is broken, get yourself a multi meter and a length of wire.

If it takes a while to reappear it may be partically intact but loses the connection when driving due to the strain placed on the loom.

Stick the multimeter on continuity check.
Stick one probe into the sensor wire eg for the air temp error, stick one probe into the air temp wire on the harness side {check the manual for the right wire) and stick the long length of wire into the other end of the loom (where it plugs into the ecu) and route it back to the other multimeter probe.

Check for continuity. If it is broken, route a new wire.

For the TPS, you can do the same but also do the other checks that the manual suggests.

If the wires aren't broken, replace the sensors!

GPXXX,
I will try to cantact with Genesis. I dont know the contact details, however, will try to to find it.

Onnzo,
After resetting the ECU, error codes immediately comes back, even before turning on the engine.

So first of all, It looks like I need to figure out if the wire is broken.

Thanks for the very useful info guys. Keep up the good work
