Hmm...
I have a Super-Cat Muffler... and i can't say mine sounds like a V8... i think it all has to do with what's before the muffler, I have a resonator, but NO Cat...

What size if you muffler? mine is pretty small... like maybe the tip is only I think 4"...

YLD-FTO, I think i might have to come and see ya!
Hey, do you live around parra area?
I work at autojoy on saturdays all day, so maybe if you are about then you could come around and show them to me?

Let me know, otherwise, I'm gonna have to try and see you maybe on sunday some time.

But if you are out on sat, and come by to autojoy on church st would be even better.

Thanks a lot and let me know.

Thanks,

the V8 sound could be not the exhaust but the pod filter if he does have one.

I know with my pod get above a certain rev and it sounds like a V8.

i can post a video to prove the point if ya guys want.

I have a pod filter and I can tell you that it doesn't really sound that much like a V8.
Maybe slightly.
When I mean V8, I mean V8.
Sorry. Btw, I'm not the one who heard it. It's a friend of mine so I trust him....where as I would have been bias!
:)

So probably the pod filter will add to the sound, but pod alone will not make that sound, so they kind of go hand in hand.

I guess I'll know if YLD-FTO decides to show it to me one day....
Hopefully sooner...
:o

Thanks,

i rememeber when i first go my pod i didnt have an exhaust, and it still sounds the same?

that was i guess by myself as well, as i think thats the sound he heard.

i dont know many if at all cars that are non v8s sound like v8s.

the sound of a v8 sounds the way it does because mainly of its firing order.

fto12345 wrote:So YLD-FTO, is there much difference between the stock pipe and the catback one you got that is between the last muffler and the cat?

Also, what kind of mods have you done to your car?
Just wondering if this is adding to your car's sound.

And how much would it be for just the last muffler if I don't go for the cat back?

Would you be able to find out what the prices are and then I will try and make up my mind.
Might even come around and see you on the weekend some time or some thing.

Thanks a lot!
