Round two will be when we're back in Perth probably.
Round one was in England when he had an Astra Turbo (manual), I had the Supercharged Tip FTO and it was on a 'private road' not an actual strip. The FTO came out on top.

We took both cars down to Shakespeare country raceway in the UK for a head to head but rain stopped the play (as is quite common).

He will beat me eventually if his car doesn't blow up as he's going to throw more money at it to run more boost than I will.

Need to get one of those inter coolers with the inlet and outlet on the same side

Yeah he's thinking about ditching the one he's got and doing that, it's got to be better than pipes all over the place.

Other option would be to try and do what FTO007 did and use a bend to run it in front of the cooler. Obviously still easier to grab a new one though

All g. I'm guessing space in that area is pretty similar between prefacelift and facelift anyway. At least it would save it from cooler piping being all through the bay.

Yeah that's what i'm thinking, I think it will be an easier install too.

It's all progressing along quite quickly. What did the shop charge for the turbo piping out of curiosity?

Rowans done the oil feed and return for the turbo but waiting on some more parts arriving now.

Sounds pretty good. I think what Vectose paid was in that range, but he'd already made one version so they had a template.

Not up and running yet and already he's just ordered more bits!
Snow performance water/meth injection kit (progressive controlled), wants to keep me busy and distracted from my project I think.
At least I can have a play with it before deciding whether or not to put one on mine.

Anyone know what the 4 ports on the turbo relate to in terms of oil and coolant in/out - is there an easy way to find out like is it obvious?
I'm presuming the smallest is oil in and the one opposite is oil out and then the slightly larger ones are coolant?
It's a GT35.

Yep, small ones oil in & oil out. Larger are water. They use a banjo style fitting like brake lines. You can buy them in kits for the GT35.

The heater matrix has been bypassed since he bought the car cause it's knackered and got no plans to replace it soon, can he use those connections for water to / from the turbo or is that a bad idea?
