Chuck a new hdd, and bingo
If you don't have a PS3, pick one up. There are some good deals on them often. Unlike MS, Sony would have proper support for the console for another 2 years easy. There are games coming out for PS3 exclusively well into half way of 2014.

Well if it's still relevant I've got a ps3 which I want to sell it comes with close to 30 games is anyone interested?
