Rob, can you give me the length of the stainless pipe? And it's 4 inch in diameter both ends?
Won't need the pipe if your pod if stiff enough

and no - I don't have the box, and hence can't use it.

EDIT: or maybe you will - I can't remember how I connected them.

Actually thinking I used PVC pipe and some masking tape for snugness now. :hmm:

Thanks for showing off my awesome headlight polish work bro :P

Well, so PVC pipe is the cheaper option I have...rather than going for a stainless steel pipe.

I am guessing a 4 inch length and 4 inch diameter pipe should connect the pod and the intake pipe fine. I have a 4 inch pod, but need to measure the length.

Now got to find duct pipes to channel air in from the front (near the grill) to the box. Rob, any details/pictures of how you have set them up? Am also thinking of using some sunshade material to insulate the whole box. Thanks for the idea Dwayne :)

Next work would be to get some details from Dwayne how to put temperature sensors to monitor air box temp and engine bay temp.

Sorry for the delay. Haven't been on my second computer where all my photos are.

Here you go. I just got two flexi pipes from eBay and put one in the factory spot and one on the side of the chassis rail.

Those aren't stainless. They're aluminium and came with the flexi pipes. They come with one on each end.

I think I paid a bit less than that though.

I believe the same pipe was about $30 from Auto Barn back then and I got mine for $15.

Did you have to mod the stock air inlet hole in the chassis? Where that aluminium bit is sitting nice and snug.

Also, was 1m enough length to reach from the front grill to the box/stock hole?

Nope, just removed the stock piping and the aluminium piece fits in from the top perfectly.

Then you just attach the flexi pipe from the bottom with the provided clamp.

Yes it was long enough, I bought the exact ones as I linked to.

Hey Rob, do you have any trouble with water with the duct pipes CAI? While driving in the rain? Noticed the stock pipe has this U-shape bend I think to prevent water drops to go towards the air filter?
