Its not hard guys, just a little time consuming. Well worth doing considering how rubbish factory Mitsubishi head castings are.

Don't know if it's a bit late or not but I faced the same thing with my old 253 in my first car...
I ended up having my block and heads hot-washed, pressure/crack tested, surfaces shaved, ported and polished... Cost me around $1200 for the V8 to have that done so I don't know how much they would charge for a 6A12!

Ive been given a price of $1500 which I think was done at pulse racing. Could be a little less elsewhere as Ive heard theyre expensive.

That would be a ball park price.
I can't locate my folder with all my receipts to confirm this

.
But it would be around that price.

No worries, I just didnt wanna get there and for them to say "well you see you need to replace your flux capacitor for $2,000 and a port and polish will be another $4k on top of the $1500 block work" etc.
Just wanted to know a ballpark figure so Im not going into battle blindfolded so to speak.

I don't know why they charge so much for such a brainless task.
Half of it just seems to be filing and polishing metal.

You gotta know where to remove the metal from, making a port larger is one thing, reshaping a chamber is another.

And if you take the pistons out, yes you have to change the rings. They carve themselves a nice groove and if you put old ones back in and they aren't lined up how they came out you're gonna have leaks... Same as valve seats
