In all honesty however.
Having a turbo timer isn't an overly bad thing.
A turbo car is more prone to running on hot after the car has been shut off. But if you've given the car a good driving, then a 1-2 mins idle cool down won't hurt the car.
Again though, it is slightly wank........

Sorry.

It is really annoying trying to buy a car when you live in the ACT. There are like no cars for sale that are at a reasonable price anywhere closer than Sydney.

I asked him what the meter was and he said it was a digital meter of your acceleration ( dunno if he means speed or actually acceleration... ) . Anyway supposedly two people are going to look at it this week so I'd say it's either sh*t or it'll be sold before I can get that one.

Just realised there are only 28 FTO's for sale on CarSales :\
95% of them are overpriced / trashed.

I Work in Canberra and I think is safe to say that ive owned/dismantled more FTO's than anyone else in the club (20ish now), so if you need me to look at one for you, I can try. If its near Braddon during a weekday, should be able to swing it.

So its an accelerometer? For g-force? are you serious? Even worse than a turbo timer...

Thanks for the offer Dstocks :D Did you buy your FTOs from Canberra or Sydney/Melbourne? I wonder if anyone in Sydney would have a look at a car for me because that's where 80% of the ones I see are.

That would be awesome, hopefully it helps weed out duds before I waste more money on a mechanic inspections. I've been lucky so far that three out of four inspections they didn't charge me :P

    Didnt get charged? How come?

I am no mechanic just so you know. I can tell you kinda basic things and give an opinion, however I strongly recommend getting any decent ones that I look at for you inspected by a professional

Yeah of course, I'm not going to buy a car until I have it inspected by a mechanic and know all the extras I'll have to pay to make it good. I think they just did it for free because they felt bad that it turned out a dud and I'm trying to buy my first car.
