That's like saying, it's always the newbies that ask the same questions which are already in the forum....

+1. It's become too ridiculous lately. Leave it to the Gibberish Corner FFS...
I've gone and looked at a couple FTOs and so far I havn't found any well looked after ones. The first one was a 99 GX aero which had really bad body work and paint (couldn't see it at all in the photos) , the second and third were 95 GRs which had rust and leaks etc. I guess it might be a while before someone sells a decent one....

As a general rule, no. buying a car from anywhere is a mixed bad, ive seen (personally, first hand) that buying a car off here can be a big lemon, as sarp unfortunately learned the hard way, however personally, i have bought a car off here and have not had a single problem with it since. Its all about how it has been treated throughout its life, and there seems to be a trend where all the facelift, later models are much better then the earlier models. (unconfirmed though)
I personally would look for a later mode fto, and dont always think that more km's means a worse off car.
I can't really spend more than 7.5k so what sort of model/KM do you think I should be looking at? I'm definitely not buying a car before I get it inspected so hopefully that increases the chances of me not buying a lemon.
for 7.5k you should be able to get a decent fto, i paid 10k for mine a few years ago. You should get a good condition gpx for that price. Again, personally dont pay attention to the km (although around 150-200k is what youll find) as a good kept 200k car is better than a problem riddled thrashed 100k car
So will a good condition FTO at that kind of mileage still run reliably and not constantly need repairs? What major things should have been done (like timing belt etc)
