Ok I have had a talk to Paul he is flat out for a month, So we are looking at a dyne day around the 2nd or the 9th of july.

this gives every one some time to get their cars ready for the day and to get a good list up for it.
I need to get back down and have another chat as I still have to get prices and so on.

Hi azza,

Depending on how many people are interested, it may be better for us to book half a day / full day, rather than being charged individually, then just split the cost amongst us (obviously you need payment upfront lol!). Maybe find out their hourly rate and compare which way will be the better deal. An advantage of booking a half or full day is we can then play around a bit with different things to compare performance gains/losses at our leisure, without being pressured based on individual time allowances.

I'm still in depending on date but to make it worth while I would need to confirm the following;
Two key graphs we will need for each car, including load and correction values used;
KW / AFR vs RPM.
KW / Torque vs RPM.
Also the full data file for each run in Excel or Word, in 50rpm increments.
Very important also that they synch each cars tacho to the dyno. No point doing comparisons off road speed, needs to be off engine rpm.
The data file should include recorded road speed though.
I need to confirm that I will be allowed in the passenger seat during my dyno runs.

If we do book a half or full day we should designate one or two cars to do some testing.
Simple things like comparing intakes, easy bolt on bolt off items.
I'd also like to compare disabling the power steering (ie removing the belt).

That's exactly why I suggested looking at booking a period of time as a group, rather than individual payments. That way we as a group can define what we want to do on the day, rather than just being shoved on and off the dyno for power runs only. Could probably work out cheaper as well, depending on their hourly rate.

But it's up to what everyone else wants to do as well I guess. For me to bring the racecar by the time I load and unload the racecar 4 times it's pretty much dedicating an entire day, and at the moment I can't justify the time and financial cost if there's no clear benefit to my 'race program '. It'd be great to have a comparison with some of the street cars on the forum but there isn't enough value in this alone for me to dedicate an entire day.

But of course that's just my situation. If everyone else just wants to pay $60 for 2 power runs and a graph then that's what the group should do.
